John was a wonderful photographer for my mother and father-in-law‘s 70th birthday party! He was on time, professional, and took the exact style of pictures that we wanted. He also took pictures of our guest at the party along with decor, entryway additions as well. Recently, John once again, captured the moments of my annual hs all class reunion. Being his 2nd time photographing the alum. He arrived and immediately went to work. As he was familiar with both the venue and event specs. John has a way of capturing your moment w/o being the moment. Hardly crossed paths. Yet, he was everywhere. What do you love most about your job?
I started my business because I LOVE photography. At the root I am an artist and on a "personal" level I am passionate about an extensive number of genres of photography including landscape, still life, macro and architectural photography.
My business however is specialized to focus on the needs of clients seeking Event, Lifestyle and Portraiture photography.
From an image standpoint I love to capture raw, pure emotion. These images are timeless and resonate with the viewer.
I also enjoy problem solving and executing on a concept. They say art imitates life - and there is no truer example than Photography. The art of photography is a fine balance between objective (technical skill) and subjective (art and vision). Photography requires countless decision making and even compromises in the selection of focal length of the lens, the aperture selected to the angle of the shot. Every decision requires planning as to the impact of that decision on the end result of the image.
Being a true professional is not about executing when things all go as planned, but being able to adjust, adapt and execute on a project when the unforeseeable occurs. This is why you should retain a professional photographer when there is not "do over" option for your project.
One compromise that is never needed from a client is in selecting a photographer who will be passionate, disciplined and professional in delivering the results desired.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started in photography a little over 15 years ago. Eventually acquaintances started to approach me to take their portraits and even cover their events.
For the first few years I politely declined as at the core my belief is every event deserves professionalism and the responsibility that comes with that.
It is one thing to be able to create artful images yet something completely different to do so professional. There are certain undertakings that demand the utmost respect, and photographing a once in a lifetime event is one of those undertakings.
The development of my business happened organically out of the above respect and has grown from there.

In all industries there are different levels of service depending on various criteria of customers and clients. Photography is at the forefront of this.

I offer phone & video consultations. I also offer in person and on site consultations as needed and desire.
All images are delivered via a video download link within 24-48 hours of completion of the project via a secure, password protected client portal.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I will work with the client to meet any level of comfort needed.
I am fully vaccinated for Covid-19 including supplemental booster shots.
