Fierce K9 has been so amazing I would definitely recommend them. We sent my dog Andro (Rottweiler) who was having major behavioral issues. He has come back to us almost perfect. We still have to keep up with the training. But we have no doubt that he will be the perfect dog once we show him we mean business. Tim is a savior! October of 2021 I adopted two adult pit mixes from a local shelter, Oreo and Fawn. As with most adult dogs, their upbringing was a mystery. Fawn was timid, and Oreo was outgoing. They were polar opposites, didn’t know one another, and took them home together the same day. The next months we worked on bonding, socializing, and walking. I believed a tired dog was a well behaved dog. But, unfortunately, that was not the case. Nothing would motivate Oreo and Fawn for their training sessions. They didn’t wants treats, toys, affection. All they wanted was to get at whatever had their attention; squirrel, person, dog. What broke me, were the dog fights. I couldn’t pin which dogs would set Oreo off. He ignored some, and went after others. What truly motivated me to seek a trainer was attempting to adopt a third dog. Initial interaction went well until I introduce Fawn. I thought if I took it slow they would come around, unfortunately Thai was not the case. I called half a dozen trainers seeking help with the aggression. No one would work with me and Oreo, except Tim. Tim was honest with me. He said two dominant male dogs would always have a power struggle. I appreciated his honesty and returned the third adoptee. I then asked if he could help me get Oreo under control. He said he would try. I didn’t give me false hope, or sunshine and rainbows. I dropped Oreo and Fawn off and he kept in touch letting me know their progress. He said Oreo and Fawn were difficult, hinting at their lack of drive and specifically at Oreo’s dominant nature. But, he worked miracles! Oreo and Fawn can now heel, sit when I stop, lay down, down stay, and place. I got Otto in January of 21, from Sam, Tim's breeder at the time, a year later, and some basic command Otto went and spent a month with Tim and there is a huge improvement. Especially with stay, before Tim got him, he had no patience. Needed to have constant eye contact with me. Now, he has all the basics, as well as patiently waiting and sitting still. Walking with him is a breeze now. He is definitely worth the 9 hour drive and being with Otto for a month. Highly recommend Tim for all your training needs. More...

Our sweet Reese came with a bucket of issues. Reactive to people and dogs. Fierce K9 was attentive to our concerns and honest about her road to improvement. We received updates to her progress, regardless if it was a positive. It was important to us that we knew when and where she was struggling so we could address where we went from there. We went from her struggling in outings with them to being able walk through the stores without reactivity. In addition to that, dogs walking around her while in a down stay and a dog walking around her with no reactive behavior. After 9 weeks we finally picked her up and while they expressed her continuing of training was important, they felt she was at a stage where we could successfully continue what they had worked on her with and I agree. After working with 3 previous trainers we FINALLY left feeling successful in where to go from here. The work and dedication has proven to be effective. I truly believe shortcomings of a dog’s ability leaving the facility relays from the consistency put in from the owner after leaving and not in their skill and knowledge to train. We had a very specific temperament that we needed in a dog and Tim found one for us that was PERFECT! He spent about a month with him teaching Hudson basic obedience and he is seriously the best dog we’ve ever had. He’s only 8.5 months old but chewing, jumping, house/potty training are all a non-issue. Additionally he’s incredibly patient and gentle with our two toddlers and doesn’t pay our cat a bit of attention (all were must have’s when it came to finding a dog that was right for us). In just that month he learned to heel, sit, lay down and stay and he does them all so well! He is an absolute joy to walk, something I’ve never really experienced with a dog before ????. We will be coming back to Tim to further his training soon and I can’t wait to see what else he can do with him! I can not recommend this guy enough. Mr.Tim is beyond amazing. I was so scared to leave my sweet Rocko with him but Mr.Tim stayed in touch with me and updated me with Rocko! Rocko knows his commands and listens! Rocko no longer nips and jumps Mr Tim got Rocko to be a very obedient dog! I highly recommended Fierce K9!!!! More...

I am so thankful for TIM Shelton at Fierce K9. Our German Shepherd was out of control aggressive to the point my son didn’t know what to do. The dog was scary. Tim has performed nothing short of a miracle. He now obeys all commands and is fun. The dog ha done a 180. He met me to walk through a highly populated store with people and dogs. Tim is wonderful with my dog when I was scared to leave her, he made me feel comfortable and explained step by step and kept in touch during training and posted pics and was always available when I needed reassurance or had any questions, I would never take any of my dogs anywhere else, I was hooked the first time and my dog who acted like a wild animal had no social skills was a new dog when she came home and with some consistent training that Tim taught me, I couldn't ask for a better dog, super duper happy with Tim and fierce k9!!!! Just picked up my fur baby Ruger from Tim Shelton at Fierce K9. We had previously taken and spent a large amount of money having him trained at Harvard's K9. Needless to say... that money was a waste. Not with Fierce K9. The training that Ruger received in just a little over 2 weeks is astonishing!! No more pulling on the leash!! Will sit, down and stay like a pro!! Tim spent a great deal of time going through the commands with us before we left!! AMAZING!! Bullet, my strong 6 month old pitbull, was extremely spoiled and stubborn before he went to spend time with Tim. He was so hyper and unruly that I was at the point of getting rid of him. I have a very hyper 1-year-old German Shepard (Mia) that was uncontrollable before taking her to Tim and spending a few weeks with him. We were having issues with her pulling us around when taking her out on a leash and her going absolutely crazy if she saw another person/dog. When we went to pick Mia up from Tim, I was very pleased that he spent over an hour teaching us how to handle Mia the proper way on the leash. I am also very pleased that I can always come back to him if I ever have any issues (which I doubt I’ll have to). Before I left Mia with Tim, we spoke for a good while about what he would be doing and how he would training her, and I felt very comfortable with leaving her with him. The way Mia acts now is night and day and I would defiantly recommend Tim to Anyone! More...

Just picked up our zoey today and we are SO impressed with how much she learned! We expected to see her trained but not to the extent she was! I have a high energy, high drive 4year old GSD that struggled with many basic obedience commands. Tim was able to get him to a level of basic obedience that I was not expecting. His commands were followed by both Tim and me like I have not seen since I owned him. On top of that Tim will have me and my dog for further follow on sessions to help further teach me and my GSD what right looks like. I live in scottsville ky and was struggling with my German Shepherd's aggression toward dogs and strangers. I came across Tim's page and I'm glad I made the trip to Alabama! Our boys, Sam & Loki, just spent 2 weeks with Tim - although they are anxious to get home (they will be disappointed when they realize the training will continue �) the change in them is amazing.
