DJ C-Rider Entertainment

We liked DJ C-Rider from our very first call. He was personable, professional, and kept in contact with us throughout the entire planning process. We discussed the genres of music we wanted played, as well as specific songs we preferred for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Overall, we were happy with his service.

That said, there were a few things we felt could have been done differently. We have a very diverse group of family and friends, so we specifically requested a variety of genres, including salsa, EDM, Reggaeton/Reggae, and others. While some of the music we requested was played, a few of our guests were disappointed that they didn't hear more of the genres they enjoy. We think the music could have been blended a little more throughout the evening, with shorter song selections that would have allowed for more variety and mixing between genres.

There was also one moment during the cake cutting that stood out to me. DJ C-Rider did play the song I specifically requested for the cake cutting, but then followed it with another Eric Benét song that I had not requested and did not want played at that particular time. At times, it felt as though he relied somewhat heavily on his own preferred playlist rather than staying completely aligned with the music we had requested.

A few of our guests also commented that they felt he could have "read the room" a little better when the dance floor was empty and adjusted the music accordingly.

With all of that said, would we use DJ C-Rider again if we needed a DJ? Absolutely. We could tell that he truly enjoys what he does and puts his heart and soul into creating an atmosphere where people can have fun, party, and dance. He was professional, engaged, and clearly takes pride in his work.

Overall, we were pleased with DJ C-Rider and believe he is a good DJ who genuinely gives his all. Our suggestions are really about making an already good experience even better — particularly by incorporating more of the couple's requested genres and being a little more flexible with the music selection based on the crowd and what the couple has specifically asked for. We utilized DJ C-Rider’s services for a recent community event, and he was incredible! From the very beginning, Vern was professional and kind. He took the time to meet with me beforehand to ensure he fully understood the needs and goals of our event. Throughout the entire process, he was patient and brought years of experience to the table.
At the event itself, Vern went above and beyond. He played fun, engaging music, brought a bubble machine that was a huge hit, and gladly accommodated all of our requests. He even stepped in to help when another vendor needed batteries. His willingness to help wherever needed truly set him apart.
Vern exceeded our expectations in every way, and I would wholeheartedly recommend DJ C-Rider for any event. More...
