Maria did an absolutely stellar job designing our brand new Brooklyn art and event space, the Delight Factory. People come into the space and are blown away every time. Maria is a visionary, bends over backwards to find solutions for our quirky wishes, and elevates them even further. Her process is solid, on a macro and micro level, and she brings absolute commitment and great joy to her work. Her expertise in sustainable materials is immense, which is the way of the future and aligned with our vision. This was my first time doing a project of this scale and she guided us through it with patience and skill. She listened deeply to us and our vision, fine-tuning it with us with each conversation. With hundreds of decisions to make, I was amazed at how well she managed to pre-select materials and items (sinks, shades, tiles, cushions, etc.) for us to choose from, helping us make conscious design choices with ease.

Finding respite in a busy city is no small task, but Maria's vision brought to life an unexpected oasis hidden in the concrete walls of NYC. As a health & wellness practitioner, I know how deeply people are affected by their surroundings and the backdrop she created is both serene and stunning. Maria restyled our collection of art, objects and flora throughout our home including my home office and a spectacular mantlepiece composition, each object selected intentionally and placed just so. Maria's beautiful biophilic approach to design work, kind guidance, resourcefulness, and clarity helped us (new business owners with limited experience of working on a project of this scale and complexity) realize our dream of creating The Delight Factory--an art gallery and event space for music, dance, soulful exploration and play located in Ocean Hill, Brooklyn, NY. She was a perfect guide, walking us through every step of the process from learning about our brand vision, perspective, and needs, to ideation and exploration of different design directions, to researching and finding beautiful materials, fixtures, and fittings, to helping us select the best fit for our space, to the implementation of a unique and beautiful design, and to helping us identify and hire the contractors who would build it. She stayed connected throughout the long process of the build (thanks, Covid), helping us brainstorm solutions when challenges arose, and communicating with our contractor when they had questions or needed guidance. Maria always had our broader vision in mind, even when dealing with the most minor of details.
