Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We are experienced in everything from a fresh and airy coastal style to modern farmhouse or contemporary, mid-century modern, minimalist designs and more! We also specialize in small apartment redos, multi-functional spaces and home offices.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is getting to help people feel more at ease in their own homes. Everyone has a vision, even if they don’t know how to describe it, and I enjoy listening, sorting through the details, and translating it into something that feels natural and personal. There’s nothing better than watching a client walk into a space and feel instantly more grounded or excited about what’s possible. The process, the problem-solving, the transformation — all of it makes the work meaningful.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my business because I’ve always been drawn to the way a space can change how people feel. After helping friends and family over the years, I realized how much I enjoyed solving design challenges and creating order where there was once overwhelm. What pushed me to take the leap was wanting the freedom to work closely with clients, guide them through the entire process, and build something of my own that felt intentional. CRAFT by Anika grew from that desire to help people feel more grounded and supported in their homes.

Yes, I offer design services remotely for clients outside the New York and New Jersey area. My virtual process is very organized and easy to follow. I review photos, videos, measurements, and any notes you share, then create a clear design plan that fits your style and needs. We meet over video to walk through ideas, talk through challenges, and make decisions together. You’ll receive a full set of recommendations, sources, and guidance so you can move forward confidently on your own timeline. It’s a great option if you want professional support without an on-site visit.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I keep safety simple and respectful. If a client prefers limited contact, I can shift parts of the process to virtual meetings, share updates digitally, or keep on-site time brief. If someone in your home tests positive for Covid, we reschedule the visit and move any immediate steps to video until everyone is in the clear. The same applies on my end. If any employee or contractor working on your project tests positive, they will not come on site until they’re able to return safely. During in-person meetings, I follow whatever precautions you’re comfortable with so the entire process feels easy and considerate from start to finish.
