How long have you been interested in magic?
Short answer: Since 1973.
When I was young, my father occasionally did a magic trick for me and my friends at our birthday parties, but that wasn't what got me started.
In 1973, when I was 15, I was at a summer arts camp near Toronto. A boy named Danny, who was in my bunk, had been studying card magic with Doug Henning, perhaps the most famous magician in the world at the that time (Danny's father was Doug Henning's lawyer). I knew if I learned this art, it would change my life; it did. Danny got me started and then took me to a magic shop. There's more to the story, but 'Since 1973' is the short answer.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
At a smaller event, I perform one interactive show for everyone. At a larger event, I "stroll," moving from place to place, table to table, creating small audiences and entertaining them. At smaller events, if the audience would be into it, I can also teach a trick to everyone. Ask me about this option if you're curious.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a magician, I'm in 'show business' and only part of that is the show. I have to be a businessperson as well. Street performing since 2005, and having performed thousands of private/corporate shows, I've grown to enjoy the process of selling myself.
