A space people remember. A business that works.
I’m Craige Walters, founder of CWDesign. For more than twenty years, I’ve designed bars, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, offices, and retail spaces. Places with personality, built around the people who use them and the businesses behind them.

What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing an idea become a real place that people enjoy. There’s something pretty special about walking into a finished space, seeing it full of people, and knowing how much thought went into making it feel that way. I enjoy the creative side, but solving the practical challenges is just as satisfying.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My background includes cofounding FUN Display, where we helped create the atmosphere for entertainment venues in San Francisco. CWDesign grew from that interest in how a space can shape an experience. Having my own studio lets me work directly with clients and stay involved from the first ideas through opening day.
Why should our clients choose you?
You work directly with me and get more than twenty years of commercial design experience. I understand that your space is an investment in your business. I listen, take your budget seriously, and bring both creative ideas and practical knowledge to the project. My work has a strong point of view, but each space is built around your goals and identity.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes. Consultations, concept development, design reviews, and furniture and finish selections can be handled remotely. We can work through video calls, shared plans, photographs, and renderings. Depending on the scope, I may need verified site measurements and local professionals to coordinate work on location. We’ll establish what can be done remotely before we begin.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I’m happy to arrange remote meetings and discuss any health concerns or site requirements before an in person visit. If someone is unwell, we can reschedule or meet online.
