Ms. Dotson, I have documentation via email and texts from the very beginning. I responded to your lead, made an attempt to reach you for a scheduled telephone call and took your call on a later day when something urgent was happening in your corner of the world and prevented you from taking my call.. Within 1 hour of speaking with you, I sent you a detailed quote regarding my services and then awaited your reply. When you asked to move forward, I prepared and sent you the contract for services. You had difficulty signing and returning the contract, so I told you that I would re-send it as a Docusign document, but I also stated that it would not happen right away because I had two events for other clients that I was preparing for that needed my attention. Had you waited until the next morning, today Jan 15th, rather than assuming I did not want to cater your event, you would have received the Docusign. The same level of attention and communication that you are asking to receive is the same for my other clients. I needed to honor my contract to them and handle the details for their event that was happening Now in the same manner that I would have handled yours in March.

Bite Cuisine Catering made my Wedding reception a great day to remember, the staff was amazing and my guest could not stop talking about the food. My cousin still talking about the crab cake appetizers that me nor my husband got any of, (smile). My husband does not eat from to many but when we did our taste test he was sold and Ms. Cheryl did not disappoint. I will most definitely hire Bite Cuisine & Catering again, and this time make sure that me and my husband get to taste the crab cakes. (smile)

Cheryl and Tony from Bite Cuisine and Catering LLC (“Bite Cuisine”) could not have been better! My wife and I had a neighborhood barbecue for about 50 people, held in our backyard.
We had never used Bite Cuisine before and put our faith in the information found on Bark and following-up two references Cheryl provided.
Cheryl is a great communicator. We shared our ideas for a menu, upon which she made great suggestions of how to improve it. We spoke once and texted several times, confirming the menu and the number of guests, arrival times, etc.
On the day of the party, Cheryl and Tony came and set-up with plenty of lead time. They were pleasant, friendly and professional. We could not have asked for anything more. The pulled pork was wonderful, as was the macaroni & cheese and all the sides. Everyone raved! A number of our guests asked how we had found such a great team…, we told them we found them on Bark! At the end of the evening Cheryl and Tony broke down their catering tables,, cleaned everything up, leaving us delicious leftovers!
We will use Cheryl and Bite Cuisine the next time we have a similar event and know that several of our guests are interested to do the same. They are GREAT!

What’s your signature dish?
My turkey-based spaghetti, buffalo chicken dip, baked macaroni and cheese, seafood salad and homemade cookies are often requested and receive high praise at events.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
I do not use cookie cutter menus. I know many customers want to see a menu and what a caterer offers, but I like to learn more about my prospective client, the type of event they are hosting, their cuisine preferences and their budget guidelines. Once I gather that information, I build a menu based on those factors that I hope will appeal to the client and meet the client's needs/preferences.
What do you love most about your job?
I have always enjoyed cooking for others, entertaining people in my home and planning events. Operating my catering firm allows me to have the best of a few worlds. I can combine my passions and skills to create some amazing/unforgettable events. Food brings people together, and I am person who loves interacting with others. I get unbelievable joy and a great sense of satisfaction when I observe people enjoying my cuisine.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am a people watcher by nature. I love to learn from others so when I worked for other catering firms, I observed the good, the bad and the ugly of the industry. I am always looking for a great side hustle, and my entrepreneurial spirit is always on fire. So, I decided to start my business and embrace the good things I learned from the inductry while adding my own eye for detail, my personal touch to cooking and presentation to provide potentail clients with a great option that would align with their budget.

I am one of many in this industry. I am a minority-owned, woman-owned firm, and I am driven to succeed. Other firms have years of experience and name recognition. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Sanitary conditions and healthy food environments are critical in this industry. My staff and I prepare food in clean, sanitary spaces using tools that are also well-cleaned. Measures to eliminate cross contamination are also implemented. During events, hand sanitizer is available and highly recommended. Whenever possible, disposable plates, flatware and cups are utilized.
