My husband and I first met DJ Bess at my cousins wedding back in May of 2025. He was so much fun. The music was fantastic and was probably the most fun I had at a wedding. We got married the following year and I knew we had to reach out to him and get him reserved! He’s very professional and super fun! Absolutely first class! Tony and Nik knocked it out of the park and ensured that all of our guests had a great time at my wife's birthday party. WOW is all I have to say. Vince & Tony were AMAZING DJs for our 8th grade formal and kept the party going nonstop. First and most important, they were professional and prompt! ! Great communicators and got the students involved early, allowing them to submit their song requests ahead of time so that they could make the music more school appropriate. That was a major win with the students. Then, they kept the kids engaged - the selfie with the kids was a cute touch. The kids were comfortable going up to them all night putting in added requests which the DJs made happen. We will certainly be hiring them for future school events and I highly encourage schools to utilize their services. They are top notch and in tune with what the students nowadays enjoy. We used DJ Bess for a school dance for elementary through middle school kids and their grown ups. He was very responsive to emails and questions, easy to book, and made creative and helpful suggestions for our event. He was also incredibly helpful when our event was postponed due to snowy weather, and worked hard to make our new date work with his already busy schedule. His communication skills are great, and he was reliably on time for set up and our event. He always followed up with us, and had great suggestions, taste, and communication. He went above and beyond by visiting the venue twice for a sound check and monogram placement, worked well with our team, and met with us virtually several times to understand our vision in tailoring his services to make our dream wedding a reality. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
1. Monitor the crowd. Try to find that one person or table who you feel will be the party people in the room and use their enthusiasm to get the party started. Sort of like being the first to jump in the pool. 2. Read the room to include get an idea of the demographics. Start with the hits that cut across all races and ages and start with a few of those. 3. Feel free to accept requests. Times changes and hits come quick. That one song you may think will clear the floor, may pack it, particularly among the younger crowd.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
No scratching, proper MC services without overdoing the chit-chat. Let the crowd enjoy proper transitions and blends and every now and then, and catch them off guard with something unexpected.
What do you love most about your job?
Pleasing the crowd and client. The best compliment I ever received was .. 'Sir, you are an artist'. Having a stranger give you thumbs up from the dance floor, or walk up and tell you that you are killing it is why i'm here. Even better is to have a couple come to us and tell us the whole room just 'popped' when they walked through the door due to our up-lighting.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I DJ'd all through high school and college. I sort of got away from it over the years, but always remember it was something I truly enjoyed. I decided to purchase some equipment and jump in with both feet. I decided that it would be worth while to start a business while doing it. Bess Sound & Entertainment with DJ Bess was born.

I'm willing to take any precautions requested by the client to mitigate the transmission of covid-19. Facades are available to keep staff 6 feet away from the crowd.
Wedding Services
DJ Bess provides all wedding services to include the following: ceremony with music, mics (stand or lapel), arrangement (if necessary) reception, up-lighting, cloud machine, cold sparks, beautiful monograms, MC services, etc.
Private Events
Small intimate affairs are so much fun. DJ Bess provides entertainment for birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, etc as well.
