Ashley is the most enthusiastic and creative person to plan a wedding with! She is smart, sweet, patient, honest, transparent, creative and well organized. Whether you know exactly what you want your wedding to look like or you're more like me with a loose mix of ideas, Ashley pulls it all together to make your wedding a dream come true; it's like she's seen the inside of your mind! We loved our amazing "backyard" wedding, which was just a week ago! My family has been having parties in that yard for decades and when family and friends showed up who have been to those gatherings over the years, they were in disbelief of how it was absolutely transformed. It was already a beautiful space but Ashley took that beauty to new heights with the clear tent, dancefloor over the pool, string lighting, chandeliers, flowers, amazingly delicious catering and cocktails, etc. We had some eccentric requests and she made it all work and look amazing. We had booked Ashley much later in the planning process, but even though we had gotten some things prior to our big day, we basically didn’t know everything about planning a wedding in full. Ashley came on and made EVERYTHING easier and simpler. She has so many connections with other vendors that she put us in the right direction to have everything for our wedding. She was so attentive with everything, whether email or phone call, she was always there. If you need someone to get on a vendor about answering emails and price, you get Ashley. She’s going to get your answers. But what I most love about Ashley, she is very personable. With her, it didn’t feel like a business transaction between us and her, it felt most like a relationship with a big sister/cool auntie. Hiring Ashley Merisier was the best decision I made!! I love her crazy OCD personality. She was focused on perfecting all the details as much as I was! I actually had to stop her from reprinting dinner menus because she didn’t like the quality of the paper it was printed on. She will be bridezilla on your behalf so you don’t have to be! The speed Ashley worked at to get everything in order was amazing!! Because of Ashley’s connections I got an amazing deal on my rentals (tables, linens, charger plates). She managed all the contracts, rentals, timeline, guest list, COVID regulations, all vendors, all the last minute disasters (and there were plenty). Due to COVID Delta Variant my guest list was decreasing by the day. Ashley adjusted my rentals, seating chart along with per person cost on a daily basis. My hair stylist cancelled on me the night before, the menu printing was delayed due to a storm the night before, the cake was delayed. A bride’s worst nightmare!! Ashley worked all night.. to get me newly printed menus, stood outside a salon to get hair extensions, called around cake places to get a new quote under my budget …and then somehow this crazy woman managed to stay until 3am the night of my wedding to sure everything was in order and my vendors cleaned out. Trust me when I say this the number of things that will go wrong no matter how much you plan is crazy…this is where a wedding planner is a life saver. Not just any wedding planner but a one that is willing to go the extra mile! I had spoken to wedding planners who charge by the hour. Trust me when I say this please hire someone who is willing to work around the clock and a personality you get along with! She was also so sweet and helped me out with an event I was having prior to my wedding which was not included in our contract. When I say this woman goes above and beyond I meant it. She gladly met with us at a location that was convenient to our home, NYC. It was then we had to the opportunity to express our must haves and expectations and also learn about her business and what she had to offer.
