I have been with Chris for 6 months and I have lost 55lbs and no longer take my medication for cholesterol. I have learned so much about eating habits, supplementation based on my biomarkers, and so much more that I cannot even describe. If your serious about change then give this a try you want regret it.

Found out about this from a coworker and tried it for free as her guest. Â Let me start by saying I am horribly out of shape (can't ride a bike without feeling like my heart will explode). I loved this b/c it was like a revved up Curves, which I like b/c of it's mindless workout format. The Orange Theory session is 1 hour and a trainer tells you what to do every step of the way. You never spend too much time doing the same thing so it goes by pretty fast and avoids muscle fatigue. The best part: you wear a heart monitor thing that tells you via a computer screen in the gym whether to speed up or slow down. Â At the end of the session, it shows you how long you spent time in the Green, Orange and Red "zones". Â Orange and Red increases your chance of burning excess calories after the workout. Don't worry about keeping up with others, you can rest if needed. If you're out of shape, don't get the Unlimited purchase option b/c you'll never make it enough to make up the cost, you'll be too sore.

In a busy area like Birmingham, the biggest benefit is accountability. You aren't just paying for a workout; you're paying for a professional to ensure your form is perfect and your time isn't wasted on exercises that don't work for your body.
A reputable trainer must be certified. Look for certifications from accredited organizations. The most respected in the US are NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), ACE (American Council on Exercise), ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association)—particularly the CSCS for athletes.
To keep costs down, consider small group training. By grabbing a few friends and splitting the session fee, you get expert attention for a fraction of the price. Additionally, ask about 'Commit and Save' deals where buying upfront lowers the per-session rate.
