We got married at Raccoon Creek this past October. It was absolutely beautiful! We wanted a location that was in or close to the mountains, but when we looked at our guest list, we really didn't want people to have to pay mountain prices for lodging, especially since we already had a large amount of guests flying in. This was perfect because it's right next to the foothills with gorgeous views of the mountains, but still allows people to drive to and from their homes or Denver area hotels with ease. The staff was wonderful on the day of, and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out! The price was very inclusive, and they allowed us to use all of our own vendors, except for food, which was fine, because theirs was fantastic! Their chef did an amazing job at helping us to develop our vision of a "brunch" wedding, complete with bacon, homemade cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, and did I mention bacon?! We couldn't have been happier, and even set up a golf tournament the day before for any wedding guests that wanted to participate.
The ONLY little complaints that I have are that we had a Sunday morning wedding (10:30), and would have loved to be able to use their beautiful bridal cottage for getting ready in the morning (hair and makeup), but as it was, they would not allow us to have access until 8:30. We were doing "first look" photos on site at 9, so we already had to be done with all of that. I wish there had been more flexibility with available time for the bridal cottage. Second, in some of my e-mails, I felt like I wasn't always a priority. I understand that there were other weddings before mine, but I feel that you shouldn't actually tell a bride, "We need to accommodate our other bride first, and then we'll get back to you." I think ANY excuse is better than that! Other than that, we were perfectly satisfied.
