The barn was the most amazing place to get married! I couldn’t have imagined a better setting for mine and my husbands big day! Before my husband and I were even engaged, I had my eye on The Barn at Raccoon Creek and lived up to every expectation! The Bridal cottage won me over! It made me tear up thinking about walking out those French doors with dad and it was such an amazing moment on our wedding day! The staff was seriously incredible! Isa was so sweet and accommodating throughout the entire process. Our wedding coordinator, Emily was hands down the reason why things went so smoothly that day. I cannot say enough great things about her responsiveness, patience, and willingness to make whatever we wanted happen. The food was awesome! We ended up going with breakfast for dinner and I am still getting compliments from the guests about how much they loved the food. The flow of the venue was perfect. We have been to lots of weddings where there’s not enough room or things feel separated. The barn is perfect because the guests can walk from the ceremony to the reception in just a few feet. Our wedding day was truly perfect. The Barn at Raccoon Creek was everything I hoped for in a wedding venue - it was perfect. The venue is beautiful and perfect for outdoor and indoor weddings. I primarily worked with Shelby: she had awesome communication, made me feel so special every time we spoke, and GOT STUFF DONE. Shelby was always ahead of the game to make sure everything was perfect for our wedding day. Also, the food is absolutely amazing. The cook is wonderful and got creative to make a brunch style meal for my guests. He is so very talented. The staff are nothing but professional. From the first time we visited The Barn I knew this was the venue I waned to get married in. Since first touring they have had some staffing changes, but Kate stepped in flawlessly and made our day perfect. During out photos on the 17th hole I got some mud on my dress and Kate was quick to grab some Shout wipes and scrub it out. From beginning to end, our experience at the Barn at Raccoon Creek was phenomenal! As soon as we took the tour, we knew there was no other venue for us! Not only was it absolutely gorgeous, it was obvious that it's run by wonderful people. Isa was so friendly and quick to respond to every email, and she helped us so much in the beginning. Once Shelby became our day-of coordinator, we knew we would continue to be in good hands! We had several meetings with her to go over how we wanted the day to look, and she helped us every step of the way. Leading up to the big day, we were able to go to tasting nights - where we could try out different menus and check out different vendors. They also had a variety of table setups, which was super helpful to see. We had a blast every time, and the food was always delicious - which made it hard to pick a menu! The day of our wedding, everything ran smoothly. Kate was there in the morning while we set up and she was very helpful, and then Shelby was there for us in the afternoon until the end of the night to make sure everything was perfect - and it was! There was not a single thing that went wrong! The timing of everything went as planned, the food was delicious, the tables and linens (which were included) looked immaculate, and there was truly nothing for us to worry about. Awesome!!! I was recommended 5280 Mobile DJ by my coordinator Hanna at Lionsgate Event Center. Knowing nothing about DJ’s or what to look for, I trusted her guidance. Cameron sent me a PDF to fill out with what kind of music we liked and didn't like as well as what songs we needed for dances, ect. Cameron let us know that Jason would be helping us with the actual wedding but both of them showed up on the day of which was nice. I was able to send them a music compilation I had thrown together for the father daughter dance and they adjusted the volumes so it would sound right the day of. Jason was also great about keeping us on schedule and moving events (bouquet toss, cake cutting, ect.) along which I definitely needed because I’m bad at managing people. The most important part was that Jason was able to figure out what would get people on the dance floor and keep the vibe going. He was considerate of the children and the language in some of the music (although I had to let him know that some of the people - my brother mostly - requesting the inappropriate music were the parents of the children lol). He didn’t kill the mood just to accommodate some of the weirder requests and made sure to clear it with me if some of the songs I requested didn’t get played. The dance floor was still full on a Sunday night at 10 PM at the end of the reception which is an indication of a great DJ. The Barn at Raccoon Creek was the first venue we looked at for our wedding and we booked it THAT DAY! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the grounds are so well kept for every season of the year! There are so many amazing things to say about The Barn I almost don't know where to start! As we were planning our big day we would reach out to the staff with questions, ideas, or concerns, and every time The Barn had it all covered! They almost always said "Don't worry, we'll take car of that for you." What more could you ask for when planning a wedding!? Shelby (our on-site coordinator) was Incredible, Kind, Helpful, Understanding, Patient, Genuine, and truly PERFECT for us. Shelby was my sanity and wedding angel every day leading up to AND especially the day of our wedding. Every guest was raving about the accommodations, warm feel of the venue and helpful staff. We were blown away by the option to take the venue for a "test drive" with their 3 FREE tastings. We were able to see multiple design styles to set up the venue, taste every option The Barn catering staff had to offer, and talk to a variety of vendors! From the moment we stepped foot onto the grounds at The Barn at Raccoon Creek, I knew it would be our wedding venue! It was the first venue we toured (amazing, right? ) and I was so impressed for so many reasons. My husband and I always wanted an October wedding, outside and the outdoor set up was absolutely stunning. A gorgeous arbor for the bride and groom to stand under, we really envisioned ourselves there on our wedding day. There were gorgeous benches set up for our guests on the day of the wedding and the entire ceremony transformed into the vision we had in our heads for so long. The grounds are meticulously cared for and our guests had a great time playing cornhole on the lawn during cocktail hour. The reception site was also everything we had ever dreamed of. A large, rustic barn with plenty of room for our large wedding of 200, we did not feel cramped and had plenty of room for dancing. My husband and his groomsman played golf at Raccoon Creek the morning of the ceremony and got ready in the groomsman suite. There was plenty of room for the boys, a stocked fridge full of beer, TV’s and a foosball table. The bridal cottage is really where I became sold on this venue. It is absolutely stunning and was such a wonderful space for my bridesmaids and I the day of the wedding. I had 7 bridesmaids, so essentially 8 girls were getting ready in that space all day and not one of us felt cramped or overwhelmed. We each took our turn getting ready with hair and make up and sipped champagne before the ceremony. The bridal cottage was something out of my wildest dreams transformed into reality and it was such a gorgeous space when I made my walk down the isle. The food and set up for the reception was wonderful as well. We went to many tastings for the food and we were so happy with the outcome. Our guests raved about our food and were so happy with the choices made. Everything tasted fresh and kept us satisfied as the night went on. We opted for an open bar and the bartenders were so lovely and worked so hard to ensure our guests’ drinks never ran dry. We even decided to have our rehearsal dinner at the gorgeous new clubhouse at the Raccoon Creek golf course and it was absolutely perfect as well!! The food was wonderful, the space we were provided was perfect for our large families and we were able to celebrate outside, playing more yard games. Everything about the Barn was perfect but the icing on the cake was the incredible staff. I cannot say enough incredible things about our planner, Addi Kurronen. She was so incredibly sweet and thoughtful throughout our planning process. Not once did I feel stressed or overwhelmed by decisions we had to make and it was because of her laid-back, fun demeanor. She is a true gem and made the madness of wedding planning so easy. Every step of the way, she was there to offer guidance and support and made the process so enjoyable. My husband and I would choose The Barn at Raccoon Creek a million times over. Our day was so perfect and it was hugely due to our fabulous team at The Barn. Cameron at 5280 Mobile DJ is an awesome DJ! Our wedding planner recommended Cameron and we are so happy we went with him. Cameron’s planning form prior to the wedding was a huge help in organizing the music we wanted and of course what important moments we wanted to have occur during the reception . On our wedding day Cameron played an instrumental part in keeping our reception on schedule. We have been to so many weddings where the DJ kills the dance floor or doesn’t interact much with the crowd or just does the bare minimum. Cameron is the complete opposite. He has a funny, lively personality and does an amazing job keeping the crowd dancing, engaged and having fun. We would highly recommend Cameron as a DJ. Let me start this review by saying that we had the ultimate wedding nightmare, our original wedding venue canceled on us 4 months prior to our wedding! ! I about lost my s*** as a bride. In the hunt for a new venue, I contacted The Barn at Raccoon Creek and let me just foremost say, it felt like we were speaking with the most caring friends when working to resolve our wedding nightmare. Isa was extremely caring and so helpful!! We had to switch up our wedding date and bring it up a week due to the Barn's availability, the location was different from our original, I needed to reprint invitations...but this was the biggest blessing in disguise we've ever had happen to us. Our wedding was THE PERFECT DAY! There are no doubts in our minds that our day could have been any better, and our original venue cancelling gave us the ability to start over and go with the most amazing place to host our special day. Shelby was assigned as our facility coordinator, and she is just the absolute sweetest. I cannot express enough compliments to the entire team at The Barn. For simplicity's sake, they run a well-oiled machine, they are all so sweet and caring and want nothing but for you to have the best day, Chef Dan prepares some amazing food (restaurant quality people, definitely not catering), and the venue's beauty speaks for itself with the flexibility to be as rustic or chic or modern as you want your wedding to be. We booked our daughter's wedding in February, 2018 - with a wedding date of January, 2019. We were very concerned when management made some major changes to the staff in November, 2018. With the wedding only a couple of months away - you could understand why! However, Isa and Kate were amazing! They met with our family numerous times to make sure that everything was on schedule and moving along as planned. They even made a few decor and timeline suggestions that we loved! Many times venues have cookie cutter procedures that do not work for every bride. The catering staff was equally attentive to our needs. When we had concerns about a couple of items they gave us a private tasting to address the concerns and were very attentive to our needs. The bottom line is you want a staff at your wedding venue that pays attention to what you want - not just what they typically offer. Cameron is hands down the best DJ out there. Not only is he incredible at DJing but he is just the nicest, coolest guy out there. He makes your bridal party and family feel very comfortable being around him and he is great at organizing all of them. He made everything run so smooth and everything transitioned seamlessly day of. Not to mention, I don't think I've seen my family and friends dance that hard at a wedding before. Cameron from 5280 Mobile DJ did a fantastic job. We had a couple of different dances we wanted to do and he got them all in perfectly. We had filled out a generic what to play and what not to play list ahead of time and it was perfect. It did not have nine millions questions for every single artist, but instead listed types of music we wanted. I thought this great! It made the process seamless and Cameron did an excellent job sticking to it. Quite a few of our guests commented on how awesome the music was. Our wedding at The Barn was everything we wanted it to be and we are so happy we chose it as our venue. The team there is very professional and accommodating and willing to help with anything. The staff the day of our wedding was awesome and really made our guests feel welcome and taken care of. Our friends and family have not stopped raving about our wedding at The Barn - it was the perfect atmosphere for a fun, casual, & intimate ceremony and reception, plus the food (we did BBQ buffet) was really amazing. Of course we're biased, but we think it's the best wedding food we've ever had and our guests seemed to agree! Another highlight for us were the bridal cottage and groomsmen loft - they were the perfect places to relax and get ready that day.
