Whilst I think the team at Schultz are incredibly good at what they do, I am disappointed with the lack of follow up after paying for board and train a little over a year ago. I feel like I paid $5k just for a prong collar as my dog is still as reactive as ever (a year on). I know there is a lot of responsibility on my end to keep up the training and I have been doing that to the best of my ability, but he doesn’t seem much better in terms of his leash reactivity at all. I feel like I am doing everything I can. I reached out to them a few times for some follow up sessions post the board and train but I didn’t get much out it to be honest. Doing some commands in the parking lot is not giving me info on how to handle his severe leash reactivity and I was told I would have to now pay more for one on one sessions (which I understand why, but also I was told he was socialized as part of what I just paid). I sort of felt like I was dismissed a bit and so I stopped contacting them for follow up sessions.I know it’s been over a year but I’m frustrated that I paid all that money and a year later he is no less reactive than when I first took him in. I’m also frustrated that not once did anyone contact me for a check in to see how he was going - i thought that would be a nice touch instead of there’s your dog back see you later after practicing a few commands.My advice for board and train customers is ask a lot of questions about what you can expect at the end and make sure you know what the board and train is and that it fits for your dogs needs. I feel like I was just quickly sold a board and train when in fact my dog should have had one on one sessions (at least to start). Took both of my fury kids as we had been having issues for sometime with their socializing skills. First day we dropped them off Fritz was a professional from the start. I am writing this review based on my experience on the initial evaluation. When we arrived for our evaluation the trainer did not interact with my dog at all. He also did not introduce himself to my significant other who handles our dog also. I was asked to walk my dog 15 yards and make a left. I was then asked to put him in a sit and a lay. After that it got very uncomfortable. I was lectured for 45 minutes sitting down while he was standing. It was condescending. Where I think the trainer has a ton of experience with his program and his training techniques it was not for us. He continually told me if my dog failed after the program it was because of me and my follow up. I was also quoted $4500 for the 21 day board and train which was program 1 and program 2 which are mandatory on leash and aggression training. The third option that was offered in the 21 day program was off leash training which would come to $8500. I informed the gentleman that my dog has become afraid of golf cart, skate boards and scooters. He kept insinuating he should have been trained professional from the day I got him and that he was more aggressive than he really was. He also made a comment that one day it will happen and he will snap, or he could. The approach was extremely sales forward and aggressive. Where this might work for a range of individuals and scaring them might also, I think if he took the time to get to know us and our dog he would understand how to "sell" us better as well as my dog does not response to aggression. My dog is a fast learner, extremely smart and kind of scared. In addition, I have had 5 dogs prior to this one. I am not uneducated in training, and large dog breeds. I have a very good boy who reacts to things that scare him. I also didn't appreciate when I asked what collars are used and what techniques I was not give a straight answer for 10 minutes. He replied with "what would you like me to use" and made comments like "well we don't hit and kick the dog" as well as if the dogs response is a 10 then he will get 10 or 100 response back. That made me feel very uneasy. I do not take away from his experience or ability I just want everyone to be prepared for this experience. I wish him and all the dogs in his program luck. More...

We recently took our two Belgian Malanois pups to Shultz for advance obedience and Security K9 training. Shultz is the utmost professional, knows what he’s doing and has the proper set up, program and facility to achieve a significant cognitive transformation within in a limited timeframe. I personally met with and interviewed five separate trainers, stemming from the north Florida panhandle where SF lives, all the way down to Miami. Every other trainer interviewed implemented sporadic, biweekly training programs which didn’t provide enough contact time with the animal to affect the change required; and lack the infrastructure necessary to do so. They would rely on me, implementing those same lessons while charging upwards of $200 per visit. That program style is significantly inferior in application and implementation, and by my estimate, would take over two years to achieve the equal level of training and confidence I required in my pups. Shultz did it in five weeks. You will not find a more comprehensive and effective program, with a Trainer that makes it their personal mission to succeed. More...

Just recently flew from Maryland to Fort Lauderdale to purchase K9 Raptor from Shultz. When I spoke to him when I was recovering from a horrible accident/divorce, Shultz listened to my needs and matched me with the correct dog. when I arrived, I was surprised to see that Raptor was actually better than described. I couldn't have asked for a higher quality protection dog. you don't need IGP titled to have a "protection dog". Raptor isn't even titled but is well qualified. I was able to fly him back from Miami to DCA on first class without any issues. Raptor didn't even bark once. He is crate/platform trained, clean, and respectful. Of course it takes time for the dog to get used to a new handler, but Shultz was there to answer and questions I have. I will be coming back to him in a month or 2 for a follow up and to thank Shultz for keeping it real with me! More...
