I have used bus/limo vendors before which promised certain quality and did not deliver it. In the past with other vendors I had reserved a bus expecting audio and AC to work but they did not work correctly despite thousands of dollars charged. I asked MGL to guarantee in a both parties-signed contract that they would provide a functioning AC, audio system and baseline cleanliness level. When I asked to sign a contract with these provisions they accused me of trying to scam them. They also accused me of trying to scam them when I accidentally uploaded the wrong credit card number. I simply needed to add the correct credit card number but was accused of scamming them and this was many days before the reservation start. Requiring a photo of a credit card is also super sketchy- if you as a customer are already paying via a third party service. Jay was rude and yelled at me on the phone. Given how they treat potential customers and their perspective on not being able to guarantee baseline quality, I would not use this service. UPDATE: he is accusing me of a fake credit card and ID to try to justify his rude communication and behavior. This is false information. I can't recommend this company enough! We had the pleasure of taking the limo style sprinter up to Napa with Uka, who was helpful, professional, and punctual. We ended up extending the trip and needing to make last minute stops to pick up folks and the driver was kind and adaptive. The actual sprinter itself is incredibly up to date, clean, and comfortable. There's an Apple TV, which is fun because anyone can cast videos during the ride. I'll definitely book with MGL again! These were our first times using MGL Limo, and we were very satisfied with both experiences. Both drivers were early to our appointments, both very professional, clean, neatly- dressed, courteous, and very careful drivers. Telmen especially deserves praise for his service. Our flight was two hours late (MGL should have been aware of this; they had our flight number) and we had to file a claim against United (they lost a piece of baggage) that took even more time. But Telmen was on top of the situation, helped us with our baggage and got us directly home without further delay. A good friend's son was getting married and my gift was hiring a limo to take them to the airport and pick them up when they returned a week later. I was notified via email when the driver was on his way, when he picked them up and after he dropped them at the airport. Same when they returned. It was a very unfortunate experience we had with your service. We have hired limousine/driver services several times and this was absolutely the worst experience we have ever experienced. Upon pick up, we asked the driver which wineries will we be visiting today and he said he was not familiar with area and did not know. We spent our first hour in the limousine trying to ascertain a winery that was near our location. He thought we were going to Napa from San Jose. We shared our dissatisfaction and disappointment with the driver and there was no reaction at all from him. The driver should have been knowledgeable about the wineries. He knew nothing, didn't care about anything, and was not open to adapt or engage to any suggestions. He wasted $600, when we could have driven ourselves. Let me reply to your very rude and unprofessional email response: Of course it is not your fault if we didn't make reservations. But who complained about that? Our complaint and mine as well as the other two ladies who traveled with us is that your supposedly professional knowledgeable driver had absolutely NO knowledge about the area of San Jose including wineries to visit. He immediately suggested we drive to Napa - well, we would have spent our time in Napa if we wanted to visit those wineries and the area. We are very well travelled individuals that know how to plan a trip. We had quite a few wineries in mind but were going to see what a local, professional, knowledgeable driver had to suggest as they usually know the hidden gems. This was our experience in the past with previous Limousine/Black Car Executive Services, unfortunately not so here with MGL Limo. We were looking forward to a fun afternoon in the San Jose hills with a driver to avoid driving ourselves. Even after your driver received some tips from the first winery owner we visited, he said he'd google some. We expressed our disappointment, your driver did absolutely nothing to make it better. He didn't engage, he was short in his answers - maybe he's better off doing airport pick ups/drop offs, for sure not for experienced travelers that were expecting a seasoned driver. As noted below, we wasted $600 for a Black Car Service that wasn't worth it to us. I must assume by your lack of courteousness that we've lost our money and there's nothing MGL Limo will do to make this right. The response from the office: We have been providing the driver and vehicle to many customers. It's not our fault when you have not made any reservations to any wineries and expecting the driver to find anything that requires no reservation at same day. Sounds like you just want us to be at fault for not planing the trip on your end. I've used their services many times and haven't had an issue until just recently. I booked a shuttle for a team (23 people) event to the city! Booked them for 6hrs. The day came and the driver never showed up! After calling and texting him with no response, I called the office, and they couldn't get ahold of the driver. Driver finally answered the phone and told me that the car had overheated, and when asking him about a replacement, he said he didn't know and hung up! And I called the office back they could not give me an ETA as to when a replacement shuttle would come pick us up! We decided to get Uber's and while commuting to the city, I got a text saying that cars were coming to get us, this is after I already told them that we would need to Uber because we had to be at our location at a certain time The lack of communication from the driver and office was very disappointing!
