The Comedy Store came to our house. And it was really freaking awesome.
We planned the event in consultation with the comedian who runs a group called Living Room Laughs, Michelle Slonim, and she was great.
She asked us what kind of crowd we'd be having, how many guests, a little bit about me and my wife Shelley (so they could poke fun at us, I assumed), and it was all so professionally done.
Highly, highly recommend them! We originally hired them in 2019 for a party, and have now had them back two more times, for summer backyard parties. Michelle and Ben put on such a wonderful show, and all of our friends have told us they can't wait for the next one!

After a mentalist canceled, I had less than 24 hours to find replacement entertainment for my friend’s birthday party.
Luckily I found Living Room Laughs. I spoke with Michelle over the phone and told her how all the guests were a group of Israelis who’ve been friends for years. She selected the other comedians based on that information and they were all so funny.
In addition to their funny normal jokes, each of the comedians had a few hilarious custom jokes about the birthday girl that had us dying, especially the birthday girl. If you were there, you would be rolling on the floor laughing too.

Living Room Laughs delivers a fantastic, hysterical show! My dear friend held a private party at City Winery Tribeca and ended the night with their hour long set of performances by four comics.
Our audience was about 60 people spanning the ages from 6 to 60 so the comics had to deliver jokes that were G or PG rated but still crack the adults up. They succeeded!
Really loved the diversity of their comics as well, especially since the party guests were a mix of New Yorkers and international folks. I was especially psyched to hear an Asian American comic!
Michelle was very easy to work with per my friend the host. What more do you need? I highly recommend using them for private parties or events. Truly a perfect night of laughter is guaranteed!

Living Room Laughs was a perfect way to host my friends on a Friday night last month. I have had a few too many wig-themed parties and my homemade margaritas only go so far. Luring in guests with comedy turned out to be an original and hugely successful entertainment idea. My friends are still talking about how much fun they had. And so did I. I bought this show because I was looking for something intersting to do for a house party, and a friend recommended them. For the price of hiring a DJ or a Bartender, Michelle brings top notch NYC comedians to your living room ! It was such a unique experience, everyone was hilarious and all my friends loved it. What do you love most about your job?
I love making people laugh! And reading the reviews of the show afterwards, it's rewarding to know we brought happiness to our clients and their community of friends and colleagues.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The seed for Living Room Laughs was planted when a friend of mine was hosting a jammin’ music birthday party in his home. I asked if we could incorporate a comedy show into the evening. And we did! The band took a break and my friend’s stairwell transformed into a stage and the comedy show began. People loved the intimacy of it, and after the semi-impromptu show, a few people came up to me and asked if I could put together a similar show in their home. The shows grew and now we do corporate show, show on Zoom and well, pretty much shows anywhere. We are professionals at making people laugh anywhere.
