What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Knowing who the guests will be before arriving, and preparing playlists accordingly. Client input before an event is often key.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I have a groovy style. If you want to keep the event flowing and guests grooving, please check out my SoundCloud page for examples of past sets from events.
For weddings and other private events, client input is key to achieving the desired 'sound' for the event.
What do you love most about your job?
I get energized by listening to music. I connect with it more than most people. You'll see me dancing/grooving right along with guests.
What inspired you to start your own business?
For six years I worked as an assistant and an event DJ for a really reputable company here in Metro Detroit. My sound did not match the vision of the owner. I also am able to have a MUCH lower price point for pretty much the same services.
Why should our clients choose you?
My process ensures details are not overlooked, clients is informed, and DJ is prepared. I selected all my equipment from quality brands.
My footprint is small and concise, which equates to an attractive price point for clients.
Look at other established business. I offer near identical services, quality, and skill at a fraction of the price point. Why? I have little overhead costs and I feel comfortable at the price points I offer. I wants clients to feel value for the services and equipment they are receiving.
Uplighting
Uplighting can be used to accentuate the prominent architectural features of the space.
Dynamic uplighting (change colors during an event) allows for slight fluctuations in light color, creating smoother event transitions by subtly cueing guests to the shift.
Lights can also be set to static, which means they are set to one color for the duration of the event.
All lights are wireless, and the color, temperature and speed can be controlled.
Dance Floor Lighting
This works best for a small dance floor. Three pars (lights) wash the dance floor, and are set to a pattern. I control the speed, color change, and timing.
The lights I use are classy and elegant. The lights are mounted to a T-bar, on top of an 8 foot pole, which is wrapped in a white linen.
DJ
Knowing how to live mix and read a room are both key to a successful set. You'll also see me dancing just as much as guests, something other companies/DJs don't do. Engaging with guests helps keep energy up at an event.
Every couple is unique and your event should truly represent that. We'll meet several times prior to the event, and after receiving your online documents clients are able to share their music tastes, which helps guide the event.
I like to play remixes and edits of songs, finding tracks more livelier than the original. If you are a client who likes House music and wants to throw down, I got you covered.
Ceremony Sound Support
I can accommodate a ceremony service with wireless microphones and lapel mics.
