Paid $850 for what was 10 hours of design work. After spending some time with someone who designs cabinets I realize I paid way too much for what they provided me with. I provided the architectural details and pics of the space. I then showed them a rendering I paid $150 on fiver for and was told it was not good and they could do way better. My wife thought that the fiver rendering which was 20% of the price I paid Steve was better and more detailed. The hours he charged I have no way of verifying how long it actually took. But the cabinet shop said it was maybe 1 hour total. Not only that but the design they provided me didn't center the range and then they moved the sink from where the plumbing was on the plan and already built. Then when I asked them move the range in the rendering they said that would be another 5 hours @ $85 an hour to center the range lol. At this point I realized this was not some sort of fair deal and that I had not used my best judgement in selecting a competent designer that actually is interested in giving their customers a fair value. Hello Joseph it takes much longer to build out a 3D Model than to do a Rendering. We mentioned in the beginning that this would take 10 hours and in total we spent 2 hours Designing the Kitchen layout with proper dimensions for Refrigerator and Stove etc, we spent 2 hours going over the 3D model Designs and 8 hours building out the 3D Model. We also build out multiple different looks and schemes for you to choose from. The added advantage of a 3D model is that we can see the Design from Multiple different angles rather than just a singular angle like within a rendering, also we can make revision to the 3D model unlike a rendering. A quick Google search will give an estimate of “Several hours to an entire week” for the build out of a Kitchen 3D Model depending on the size and complexity of the kitchen. We have a 95% rate of finishing projects out with customers that hire us and im sorry we were not able to see eye to eye, we wish you well and hope your kitchen turns out every bit as nice as you are envisioning
