We had Duck Duck Magic out to perform a show for our family reunion. It was a mix of ages from 2 to 80 and in a just a word or two it blew my mind. 🤯 He had a variety types of tricks -- card tricks, making things appear/disappear, float, and more. How long have you been interested in magic?
I started in elementary school, but lost interest in my teenage years. I picked it up again during COVID lockdown as something to do with my hands that wasn't screens.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
Expect a high-energy, interactive show that feels like a mix of comedy, astonishment, and “wait… WHAT?!”
Depending on your event, I can do:
Up-front show (living room / stage style): A tight, fast-paced set with jaw-dropping magic, mind-reading moments, and tons of laughs. Perfect for groups who want one shared experience.
Mingle Magic (strolling close-up): I circulate and perform mini-shows for small groups, showing off amazing sleight-of-hand and mentalism right under their noses. Great for cocktail hours, open houses, and corporate events.
Either way, the goal is the same: your guests feel included, entertained, and genuinely blown away, without awkward volunteers or cringey humor.
What do you love most about your job?
I love watching a room go from “polite interest” to full-on joy. There’s a moment when someone realizes something impossible just happened in their own hands-- and they laugh, gasp, and look around like they need a witness. Creating that kind of shared wonder (and giving people a break from being “serious adults”) never gets old.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve always loved creating experiences, events, games, surprises, moments people talk about afterward. Magic became the perfect way to combine storytelling, comedy, and connection into one unforgettable package. Starting my own business has let me build shows that are tailored to real people and real events, not a one-size-fits-all routine.
