I always listen to each individual client on focus on their specific goal. Whether it is weight loss or strength training. Then I will tailor a training package designed just for them. I also stress the importance of diet. You can't out train a bad diet. I usually ask my clients to keep a food diary so then I can advise them on different choices when it comes to healthier eating.
Hard work and self love. You can train all you want and still not be happy with the body you have. Mental health and your body are connected so you need to keep your mind healthy at the same time as focusing on exercise. Getting enough rest, drinking plenty of water, surrounding your self with positive people and things will keep you happier inside. Once you're in that mindset anything is possible.
I love every about my job. The feeling I get when a client starts to understand their body movements and the happiness they give back is priceless. Seeing someone come to a session in a low mood then after 10 minutes seeing them completely change and become more energised and positive is amazing. Meeting so many different types of people on a daily basis and having an impact on their lives is very humbling.
I always enjoyed sport then came away from it for a while. I started to get back into exercise about 6 years ago and found that I really wanted to help other people feel good about themselves. I want people to see exercise not as a chore, but as something that is completely natural and beneficial to everyone. Exercise doesn't have to be restrictive it can be modified for everyone to play to their strengths.
