Hey, Emma here! I am a full-time private trainer and online coach based in Merley, Dorset. I place a strong focus on helping women build their confidence with exercise, themselves and their nutrition. For me it's about enjoying the process and still living your life- not just eating salads all day long. If this sounds like a bit of you- simply get in touch. I look forward to being a part of your journey!
Emily Mann
Emma is such a passionate and kind PT. She tailors everything to each client and always checks what their goals are and how they’re feeling and getting on. Emma’s not a PT who sends you a workout or gives you a session and disappears until next time, she truly cares about clients and there progress. I did home workouts and meal plans with Emma for 12 weeks and saw such a difference! Highly recommend Emma to anyway, no matter the size of your goals!

I became a Personal Trainer because I love exercise and truly believe it is the best therapy for a bad day. You don't have to be the sportiest or the fittest to enjoy exercise, you just have to have the right Trainer that will create programs that suit you, your abilities and what you like to do. Just because you don't like running on the treadmill or lifting heavy weights doesn't mean you can't exercise.

My name's Kieron. I’m a mobile Personal Trainer in Poole, Dorset. I help people lose weight, get fit and feel great! I travel to you at home, work or your local park, to provide my personal training services. I am based in Poole, also able to cover areas such as Sandbanks, Bournemouth, Upton and Wareham. Why choose personal training with me? • Look better - Need to lose weight and get in shape?
Sophia
As someone that has always hated exercise I was dubious when I signed up for my first 6 sessions. Kieron has made exercising fun, enjoyable and I feel so much better in my body and mind that it is now 3 months later and I will continue. I really feel that my personal needs are being met and I am gently encouraged each session to work harder. I love that each session is different, working different muscles and also building my cardio fitness. I cannot believe how much my body and fitness has improved and how much I actually enjoy it! Kieron is so easy to chat to, we have fun and I feel very comfortable. Kieron is extremely accommodating, coming to my home and fitting around the chaos of animals and people. I would highly recommend booking a session. I am so happy I found Kieron and extremely grateful for him helping me.

Physical Preparation is the ultimate in personalisation. Your first session is a full assessment of what your body can and can’t do, looking at range of motion, stability and strength. From there we build an incredibly personal program to achieve your aesthetic and performance goals, while also improve how your body works and feels at the same time. We provide online resources to help with this and a supportive nutrition package.

My name is David Hoyland and I run a company called Fight for fitness Ltd, based in Poole. We offer everything from group exercise classes like yoga, circuit training and boot camps situated all around Poole, to personal training at our private studio in Broadstone. We're also available for home and outdoor workouts. We always offer a free consultation and trial session and have a growing team who would be happy to help you.

Dave is amazing at what he does! Iam one of those people who needs a push to do exercise and he's always giving me the boost I need to get me to the gym. Training sessions with him are always varied and fun, and tailored to suit me at my fitness level. He is always there with dietary advice and exercise tips when I need them. I would highly recommend training sessions with fight for fitness, not only are the prices really competitive but it's a lovely environment to be in. Not only has my fitness got better, but I've got a lot more confidence in myself as he always pushes me to my limit to get the best from me to make me realise just what I am capable of. I have tried several different places to exercise over the years but never felt as comfortable as I do at fight for fitness...thank you Dave!

Inshredible fitness is a female friendly company which specialises in resistance training, mobility and weight loss for women looking to boost their self confidence. At inshredible we also offer online training, a facebook community so you can connect with like minded women and bespoke bridal packages. Inshredible was founded by Lizzie Martin who is an ex professional dancer, UKBFF British Champion and IFBB athlete, Lizzie has had her confidence and weight struggles in the past but is a firm believer that with the right guidance anyone can feel comfortable in their own skin whether they want to lose a few pounds, lift some extra pounds or get shredded for summer.
Jade
Taking up PT with Lizzie was one of the best decisions I made. I struggled with gym confidence a lot and was on a constant binge starve cycle! However, I now have knowledge of the gym, how to use equipment and recognise that women 'can lift' and stroll over to the weights section with my head held high. I wouldn't have got to this point with Lizzie's guidance. Lizzie also taught me you definitely need to eat! I used to live on silly 900 calorie diets, so was a bit overwhelmed with my initial food plan of around 2000 calories. I stuck to it and dropped weight more quickly than I imagined I would! Would 100% reccomend Lizzie for a thoughtful, knowledgeable and motivating coach!!

Tonefitness is not just a gym, it's a community. We have excellent trainers behind us ( sometimes literally!) and all the clients are supportive to each other. We work hard to our own level at the sessions but they are always fun and the sense of achievement at the end is enormous. On top of this we have great social events. We've taken part in running races together including lots of muddy ones where again we support and encourage each other.

Based in Bournemouth, Dorset, I have over 30 years experience of sport and exercise, some of which was gained during my time spent in the Military. Here at DK Fitness, my aim is to motivate and help change lives, accomplish goals and improve the physical health and well being of my clients, either through Individual Personal Training, Sports Massage Therapy, Group Exercise Sessions or Nordic Walking.
Dorset
The services that my business offers are the following: 1-2-1 or group personal training sessions 1-2-1 or group strength & conditioning sessions Online coaching (nutrition & training programmes) Body transformations packages (8 & 12 week plans) I also work for Premier Training as a Master Coach delivering fitness courses around the South West to students who want to become Personal Trainers, or for current Personal Trainers who want to expand their knowledge by going on additional courses.
I get my clients to achieve their goals in a number of ways, firstly we will meet up or talk over the phone to discuss the following:
What your goals currently are and are they SMART
How many days a week you can train
What is your previous training history
A thorough discussion about your current diet habits
If you have or have ever had any medical issues that might impact on what training you can do
Conduct physical measurements (BMI, waist:hip ratio, body fat % etc)
After all the above has been discussed then this will allow me to design a personalised and tailored programme and nutrition plan to suit the individual client. My programmes will include the following:
Cardiovascular exercises inside and outside the gym
Functional training (Kettlebells, bosu ball, TRX, and body weight exercises)
Weight training exercises (Free weights & resistance machines)
Boxing (pad and bag workouts)
I will review clients progression every week or month depending on the individuals wants, needs, and goals. Also, I use my own personalised training app to help me keep track of clients nutrition and workouts that they are doing.
Everyone thinks there is a secret or wanting the fast track to getting that body of their dreams. But, I can tell you there is no fast track or quick way of getting the body shape you want. It is all about the long term commitment to training, developing healthy habits, and being organised & determined. I know first hand how much effort is required to get the so called 'body of your dreams', as I have competed at two male fitness model events in 2017.
I am very passionate about my job, and I love every aspect about my job. I got into the industry to help people improve their health and lifestyle so they can enjoy a healthier and longer lasting life. But, my main thing I love about my job is seeing the progression from when my clients first see me when they are at their worst and lowest point in their life, and then seeing how far they have progressed since training with me. Nothing makes me more happier than knowing that I have had a positive impact on someones life and helped them to achieve that goal they wanted at the very start.
Now I work as a Fitness Tutor delivering fitness courses around the South West to students who want to become Personal Trainers, I would say that the things I enjoy the most about that role is pasting on my knowledge and experience to students and seeing them progress from day one in the class room, to the end of the course.
I have always worked for gyms and as good as it was working for gyms I am a very ambitious person so I wanted to build my own business and promote my high standard brand that I set myself. Working for myself allows me the freedom to be flexible with my hours and it allows me to promote my brand the way I want to, and to the standard that I want.
I firmly believe that the service I offer is better than anyone else around. This is because I have 10+ years worth of industry experience, and I have worked with lots of different ability levels ranging for special populations (wheel chair users and other disabilities), I have worked for a professional football clubs youth academy (Plymouth Argyle), and my client base ranges from 13 year olds to 65 year olds. I believe that my personality caters for clients of all ages, and my approach I use and the service I provide is of a professional and very high standard. I care about my clients not just in the hour they have paid for me but also outside of the sessions.
I also have studied at degree level where I achieved a BSc (Hons) Sports Science & Coaching, and I am currently expending my knowledge by studying a MSc Strength & Conditioning degree in London. I am always looking at ways in which to improve my knowledge and to further develop myself so that I can improve the service I offer to my clients. I believe that I can offer you not only a professional high standard service, but I have the complete package as I can offer you years of professional experience, and expert knowledge in a number of different areas of fitness to cater for all individuals who want to make changes to their lives, and achieve their goals.
Should I work out every day of the week?
It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!
Where can I have my personal training sessions?
Pretty much anywhere! The great thing about personal training is that it’s flexible - as long as you have the necessary equipment, you and your instructor can decide to have your sessions from the gym, your home, the park, or even your office if you want to!
Does my fitness instructor need to know anything about me?
Yes! First of all, they will chat with you about your goals, and discuss the best way to achieve them. They should also ask you to fill in a consent form to check that you don’t have any pre-existing health conditions that could impact your exercise. They’ll also carry out a health assessment to get a better idea of your current fitness level, tailoring your workout plan around that.
What does a standard personal training session involve?
It's tricky to say, as personal training sessions vary significantly depending on what you want to achieve and the type of workout. Generally, one personal training session tends to last forty-five minutes to one hour. It will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by the nitty-gritty of the actual workout, with stretches to end the session. Remember, warming up and stretching is essential for injury prevention - it’s just as important as the main part of the workout!
What qualifications should a personal trainer have?
A personal trainer needs to be clued up on all aspects of fitness, from the most effective exercise techniques to nutrition and human anatomy- that’s a lot of responsibility! You need to make sure your professional is suitably qualified for the job. After all, you shouldn’t cut corners when it comes to investing in your health. Make sure your trainer has the minimum qualifications required to practice. In the UK, this is the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
Can I get a Personal Trainer online?
Absolutely! Online personal training has become increasingly popular as more people are looking to maintain their fitness during lockdowns and gyms closing. As long as you and your personal trainer have a strong internet connection and a device to stream on like a laptop, tablet or smartphone, there's no reason why your session can't be delivered remotely.
