Rich is great to work with. He listens to your goals and works with you to achieve them, review and set more challenges. He has a wealth of knowledge and is able to discuss sports performance, the effects of activity on the body, injury and nutrition/diet. You really feel you get an overview of where you could be if you applied the some of the science! Highly recommended. More...

Rich is an inspiring and hugely experienced coach. His classes are friendly, supportive and very effective. I joined Mad Mules in 2016 and Rich coached me to achieve my dream of running the London marathon in 2017, and finishing in the time I trained for. As a physio, I’m always impressed by Rich’s expert ability to spot areas of weakness or injury, and adapt exercises accordingly, or guide towards seeking appropriate professional advice. He tailors each session to suit, and get the best outcome for, every person in the group. By far the best classes and coach I’ve ever trained with. Thank you. More...

I have trained with Mad Mule Richie since 2012. Training outdoors in the fresh air is great after spending all day inside and the sessions cater for all abilities and are great fun too. Mad Mule offer a range of sessions, the training focuses on useable strength and quality of movement through considered exercises, stretches and skills that strengthens core and improves the imbalances you have developed over the years. Through Mad Mules experience and understanding of my personal goals Richie has assisted me in achieving my amateur (40+ mid life crisis) goals both sporting and lifestyle. Training with Mad Mule has improved my posture, made me stronger and as a result moving better. More...

What do you love most about your job?
Adapting our coaching role to our clients. No one person is the same. Whilst a generic format may be presented for common goals, Madmule takes the time to adjust everything to the individual level.
Seeing people achieve their ambitions is high up on the list. Helping someone to fulfil what makes them happier, healthier, competent and confident is the most we love about coaching.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Since the time I left the Royal Marines, sharing knowledge and training with people who aspire to be the best they can be has driven the business along. Developing Madmule Fitness & Adventure is a joy. By being part of the coaching role, problem solving, supporting plans of action that have been agreed and seeing the end result of their investment of effort, it has all inspired the company to keep delivering as much energy and direction back as we see being demonstrated daily by our clients.
Why should our clients choose you?
In consultation, clients choose us because we are seen to be capable of supporting the outcomes and/or Madmule will speak competently of the specific outcome you have in mind.
Madmule will pass a client to another trainer/ organisation if we believe it is in your best interest. Madmule also refers quickly to clinicians if we have any doubts during consultation, saving you time and money, before you proceed with a training plan.
Madmule sticks to it's professional remit and only coach in the areas that are relevant and hold knowledge within.
