I like to run, but I know I need to be doing exercises with weights. This was a great full body workout that left my arms sore the next day and left me feeling strong. The coach checks your form, which was important to me, and I was able to go at my own pace within the intervals.

Great trainers and workout, I love the UFC gym - ( Reston - Herndon ) refreshing to have a different workout everyday! Boxing, kickboxing, DUT - Boot Camp, TRX etc... the classes are the bomb! and you are a sweaty mess by the end.
I LOVE the YMCA. As a mom to little boys we enjoy the pool, the basketball courts, the fun family events and most of all the child care! The only thing that frustrates me to no end is the website and registration process for their programs. It has happened at least a dozen times that I register all three of my kids for something and only one registration goes through or their is a website glitch that doesn't allow me to click on something. The app has been greatly improved but still doesn't have updates if a class is canceled or pool is closed. The organization as a whole is incredibly impressive so its odd to see such an important part as the website be so low in quality.
I was visiting town for a week for work and honestly picked the closest box near my hotel. These guys have a great drop in rate and were super friendly every time I went in. I was really impressed by the knowledge and skill of the coaches and definitely got a great workout in every time. I hope I get to go back soon!

While I have been a certified trainer for a while and have a loyal client base, I know how scary weights, musclesheads and everything that comes with working out can be.
AJ is a great personal trainer. I have worked with him since he opened his business. His boot camps are fun but definitely make you sweat! I've also had him come to the "gym" at my apartment complex in order to help me figure out what I could do on my own when I can make it to his gym or boot camps. AJ has also helped me gain a better understanding of my basic nutritional needs, which is why I've managed to eat more spinach in the last six months than the previous six years. Overall, AJ is a personable, professional and motivational trainer.
If you’re looking for a great gym without breaking the bank - crunch is the best I highly recommend you sign up for personal training too. All the trainers are super nice and knowledgeable but my trainer, Timothy, is the best. So ask for him when you sign up! He will for sure get yourself back in shape and feeling great in no time

This gym is so much more than a gym, it is a family. I was so scared to try CrossFit and commit to the sport having had bad experiences with it from other gyms in the past. The staff at 351 is so knowledgable and they really care about my goals. I couldn't have found a better home!
What can I say about F45 except BEST. WORKOUT. EVER. I have tried every workout known (e.g. Crossfit, OrangeTheory etc.) and this is the ONLY workout I've stuck to. Why? The timing of each workout (e.g. 45sec on 10 sec rest) etc. keeps my body guessing and I do not get bored. There's no running on a treadmill for 8 minutes (so boring). The coaches are amazing too. I have significant shoulder issues and sometimes my shoulders are just over it, Josh C and Scott give me the latitude to work on what's best for my body, plus they give me tips on how to modify exercises I can't do. Did I mention they are absolutely wonderful and fun people. Lynn, Jordan, the energy of everyone at F45 is just supportive and so positive. This is the best shape I've ever been in my life and I know long-term F45 is the only program that will continue to do that for me. Thanks for being so awesome guys :)
We love Super Kicks!! It is crystal clear that Master Alley and his ENTIRE team love teaching and the art of karate. It is not just something they do, it is who they are. My younger son is in the Little Leaders class, which caters to children ~2yo-~5yo. The way that the staff teaches them allows the children to get used to the expectations in karate. They teach basic, basic movements and strength train in a way that young children can participate and feel a sense of accomplishment. My son looks forward to Saturday morning classes. My older son is now in the leadership program. Since we started at Super Kicks, he has progressed from Little leaders to the basic program and now to the leadership program. Because the students in the basic and leadership programs have various age ranges, their expectations are higher, however still reasonable. My child has been given age appropriate challenges with punches, kicks, grabs, and with weapons, and works very hard to accomplish those challenges. There's never any heavy outside pressure for student excellence or achievement but the staff always has encouraging words or pep talks to share in every class that drives excellence from within the students. There are also lots of opportunities for the kids to carry their "black belt attitude" outside of classes and demonstrate good character traits and citizenship skills at home and in the community. This is a major incentive for my children. Also in class, they regularly strive for excellence in order to earn the red stripe and show the instructors that they are focused and hard-working in class.Like I said, there is no heavy pressure on the kids to participate. In both the Little Leaders and basic classes, I have seen children be too shy or afraid to participate in class and the instructors simply say "that's okay today. The fact that they are watching (or just sitting on the mat) is good enough." Sure enough, little by little the children become more comfortable where they want to participate.If you are looking for a karate studio, I highly, highly recommend Super Kicks Karate. Master Alley and his staff are the absolute best. It is awesome!!!
I have been attending BT Fitness for almost 6 months now and couldn't be happier with the results!! Although it was a struggle in the beginning, Berhane's great coaching has really enabled me to adopt a new lifestyle and to step outside of my comfort zone. Even though it's a group setting, he still spends the necessary time with each person to assist them with their fitness goals. And on top of that, the environment is positive and the people attending the classes are just as motivated. It's definitely a place I would recommend if you're looking for a mixture of challenging workouts.
The coaches, the programming and the community of support is like no other place for building an understanding of personal physical fitness, solid mental health, and awesome achievements. I look back and am remorseful that I missed out on so many great years by not starting sooner, but am so optimistic that my future has a plan and Crossfit is in it. Highly recommend this gym!
I wasted 9 months with Navy medicine attempting to find the issue with my knee and how to return to being able to run my PRT without pain. I was an avid runner, sub 10 PRT run, sub 2 hour 1/2 marathon and 20 min 5k. A knee issue during deployment and a 9 month PT rehab program with the navy lead to me not being able to comfortably run a mile in less than 12 minutes. After one session with Bryce, he discovered the issue, recommended a change in my running and workouts and completely changed recovery approach.
I highly recommend Susan and her team at Better Bodies 757. They truly know how to get you results so that you meet your goals. I used to dislike going to the gym and working out, but Better Bodies has totally changed that. I actually look forward to my workouts! The environment is encouraging and empowering, and the class sizes are small and personal. Lots of different class time options so you can get a workout in anytime of the day!!

I have recently visited Golds Gym of gayton crossing. This was one of the most pleasurable gym experiences I have had. Nikki was always there to greet you with a warm smile and energetic attitude! The gym was clean and staff very friendly! I would highly recommend this gym if you live here or are traveling to the area. Joy2bFit Bootcamps are the best. Each workout is at a high intensity level where the only one keeping you from being great is you. She pushes you to give your all for 50 second intervals. I also love the fact that every session is different. That change is exciting and it forces you to use different muscles.

Was in winchester for a 1 week course, came in talked with staff and treated me like a family member, would definitely buy a membership their if I have to go there for a longer period of time. Installation is good, maybe decent squat rack would be good. But except that, loved my experience of this gym.

Raintree has the best indoor light in Richmond. 2018 they put all LED lights in and the place is beautiful. The remodeling of the looker rooms are great. Their jr program is second to none. The coaches use the Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow ball to progress the jr players to their highest potential. Everyone should check out this facility that is tucked away in a neighborhood.

Have two kids in Enshin Karate, a 6 year old Yellow belt and a 10 year old Green Senior. Both started out as White belts and have had an amazing time.The instructors (Sempi) work well with all ages groups and order and discipline is expected and taught It's fun and allows for both individual growth as well as team building.I highly recommend the program. Great for all ages.
I'm so glad I found Empire Fitness. Darryl is the kind of trainer I like - knowledgeable and motivating. He pushes me past my comfort zone while making me feel supported. Every workout is different and I leave completely spent. Love that it is close to home and convenient too.
Joseph, the trainer, really knows his stuff. He doesn't tell you what you want to hear, or make you do exercises you want to do -- he tells you what you need to hear and exercises that you need to do. Hard Work Pays Off, and Joe will push you for that payoff. I've personally recommended him to several friends, and encourage you to check him out.
I joined Koko Herndon when I started a weight loss program with a separate organization. My goal in joining Koko was to exercise more for health reasons and to burn calories to assist in weight loss. After reaching goal weight, I continued on at Koko because I enjoyed the programs and found the visits to be short, comprehensive and satisfying. As I write this review, it is now years later and I continue to visit Koko several times a week for both strength and cardio workouts. I can work out as intensively or as moderately as I choose, go as often or infrequently as I elect, and while at Koko, I can do as many cardio and strength sessions as I wish. Everything is computerized, and the pace bar of the strength sessions assure correct rhythm, and the staff assures correct form. The cardio sessions offer a vast array of options, beginner, medium and advanced, with many different sessions to choose at each level. The Koko staff is FANTASTIC - I cannot say more. If you have read this far, I offer one more tidbit of information for those seeking a fit club membership. The reason I have continued my membership at Koko is because the sessions work extremely well for me, as I have continued on at Koko for many, many years. Kevin's been my Falls Church area trainer for probably 4-5 years and I have followed him to this new business location and watch it grow. I'm not a gym enthusiast by default. The space is terrific and the atmosphere is always low-key and positive. His gym is a clean, well organized space and Kevin will fully customize to suit your goals. Top-notch homegrown gym. Gordon, who was working the front desk, is a great guy and was super helpful. There wasn't too many people there when I went, so I had access to all the equipment. Will definitely be back when I'm in Chantilly. Awesome workout facility
If you are looking for results and for someone to push you Stephanie is the person to do that! I have been training with her for 6 months and love the confidence she has given me to push myself. More importantly having someone that believes in you when you don’t have the confidence yourself is everything �
I love this class. It is all done standing or seated, and as I have trouble getting up and down on the ground this works perfectly for me. I can really feel the work on my muscles too. In fact, my bad shoulder has really improved from this. I have never liked aerobics, so I like the way this class physically tires me, but it is not aerobics.

Renall is a great trainer! He took on this 61 yr old gal who was weak and flabby and helped me get much stronger. He pushed and encouraged me to do more, but also understood when I wasn’t able to meet the goal or hang in for the duration. I also appreciated that he watched closely to make sure I was doing exercises correctly to avoid injury. After 8 months of 1-2 days per week, I joined my sister for a walk in the woods...that is, we hiked approx 225 miles along the Appalachian Trail from Harper’s Ferry WV to Glasgow VA starting July 3rd and ending on August 3rd. Without the strength training in my legs, esp., I would not have been able to do as well as I did “stair-climbing” up and over rocks to get up and down mountains while carrying a 30lb pack. I need to resume training with Renall since I am not particularly self-motivated!

She always offers modifications if needed. Mona is very knowledgeable regarding each client's anatomy and explains how the poses benefit the parts of the body. I have taken numerous classes from Mona in many styles from HII-flow to Yin-Yoga, and all of her classes are not only a great path to physical wellness, but also centering and calming of the mind. Carriage House Pilates Studio and Marlisa Eyre make me so happy! Four years ago I was searching for a better way to exercise. Pilates is amazing! Every work out is different and it's never boring. It is relaxing, challenging and invigorating. Marlisa is a wonderful instructor who trains you through verbal and visual instruction. I'm 52 years old and in the best shape of my life.
