Lancerlot Sports Complex Offers year round Public Ice skating and gym and fitness areas. we have a Olympic size pool that is heated and stays 83-84 degrees year round! We also have a outdoor pool for summer time use as well. We also have personal Trainer on sight that is flexible to work with your schedule and needs who is certified and has been certified for 15 years.

I don't frequently go to this facility but on this day I was doing an agility test for a potential employer at CORA physical therapy which is located inside Lancerlot Sports Complex on the second floor. The facility was very nice. Everything was clean, staff was very friendly. All kinds of fitness and workout equipment. A cycling room, weight room, volleyball court, racquetball court, indoor swimming pool, full size indoor ice rink. Also had a sauna and hot tub spa located in the men's locker room. All the staff and physical therapist there at CORA physical therapy were very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for physical therapy as they also received a five star rating on Google. I would definitely go back to CORA and the Lancerlot Sports Complex. I visited this arena while in the area for work. I brought my gear and played some pick up games. The pick up games were great. Had a nice pace with varying level of skill. As the out of towner, the other players were very welcoming. The Tuesday night and friday morning pick up games yield the most players. Pick up games are 15 a session. THANK YOU STAFF AT LANCERLOT, for running such a great place and caring about each of us.This is a free gym for many of us seniors, as it's included with our Medicare Advantage plans. However, there are ALL AGES here. While I was swimming laps today, they were giving toddler and child swimming lessons.I really love the indoor pool, the treadmills, and the free weight room. Even a spin class and water exercise were happening today, there's ALWAYS something to do at Lancerlot! Can't wait to go ice skating, too! More...

Way better experience than going to the Civic center in Roanoke. The rink wasn't crowded and they have two different ice skate options which is key because ice skates are super uncomfortable. I absolutely love going to the water exercise class. I go every week day for the 10:00 class. Lots of good fun and great work out. All the teachers are great. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
So I have learned to listen to my clients when they come in for consultation, that is the most important piece to helping them achieve their fitness goals. There may be things they say that they do not find important but are key to a trainer to help put together the appropriate workout and nutritional plan possible.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
There is no secret, It's hard work and stay consistant with your nutrition and working out 3 or 4x a week. But if you don't give up I promise you will achieve those goals
What do you love most about your job?
I Love watching my clients step on that scale for the first time and seeing the defeat on their face only to see themn get back on that scale in weeks to come and see the joy and excitement on that same face as they did what they thought they couldn't do.You have to believe in yourself and sometimes it take me as the trainer to help them see that. If you fail I fail. Me and my clients do this together, we cry together we get excited together and we celebrate together. what better job is there?
What inspired you to start your own business?
well this is not my business however I have worked for Lancerlot for 16 years now. And what inspired me to do what I do now is my family. I could go all day on this question but short and sweet the answer is FAMILY
Why should our clients choose you?
I think the client needs to search out and talk with various trainers before making a choice of who they use. Experience is key and having Knowledge on what they do is so very important. It's up to the client to ask all the important questions when reviewing trainers and making a decision. I have had great success with my clients as long as they put the work in and follow plan they never fail!
