How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

'Fitness' is a very broad term, and for some it may relate to walking up the stairs or carrying their shopping to the car.
For others it may mean how far or fast they can run or how much weight they can lift.

As a Lifestyle and Holistic Fitness Coach, I look at everything going on in your life and together, help you create a plan which fits in with your day-to-day routine. It may involve some activity sessions during the week which you can read about online or it may just be as simple as a walking plan.

Any goals we decide on should be micro-goals such as losing 2lbs or walking 2 flights of stairs or feeling less out of breath walking to the shops.
In summary, I prefer to help people maintain a healthy lifestyle rather than always thinking in terms of goals. This makes it more likely that you'll see positive results rather than seeing your goal as always something on the horizon and never making much progress in getting there.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

There is no secret recipe, book, pill, website, diet or food which will get you the body of your dreams.
Knowledge is key. Understanding a few basic principles. Not trying to be someone else. Not trying to look like so-called Instagram Influencers.

There is no perfect body. Only one you are happy living in, and one which you look after (like your car or house) and one which is healthy.
If you are forever chasing that dream body, you'll always be miserable, unhappy and demotivated.

Do physical activities which you enjoy and make you feel good. The body will come :-)

What do you love most about your job?

When someone reaches out to me for help and they see positive changes, I know I'm doing my job well and I've helped improve that persons life in many ways. This is why I wanted to start coaching others like you.

If I can bring even a little positive change into your life, then I know I’m doing my job well.

Sharing my knowledge with others makes me feel happy.
Seeing positive results in clients brings an overwhelming sense of joy.

Putting a smile on my clients faces is priceless.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Well, I've always been crazily (a little obsessed actually!) into health & fitness, always telling people how to eat healthier and get more activity/exercise into their routines.

I've never had a problem with self-motivation, and want to make sure I can always keep up with my BIG kids, and not be the dad on the side who cannot join in.

Whilst regularly seeing the questions people were asking on social media, it became obvious that exercise, fitness and weight loss were real talking points. Everyone started asking me questions about how to lose weight? how to build muscle? What to eat? or which exercises are best?

I'm a dad of 50+, and I'm fitter now than I ever was. I knew early on that I never wanted to end up in mid-life with any serious physical/mental health issues around my weight.

I see it so much every day. In the news and on the streets.
Sadly, I can't help everyone, as much as I try.

When someone reaches out to me for help and they see positive changes, I know I'm doing my job well and I've helped improve that persons life in many ways. This is why I wanted to start coaching others like you.

Why should our clients choose you?

I'm a Lifestyle and Holistic Fitness Coach. Many PTs will only provide guided workout sessions and that's it until the following session/week.
No progress tracking. No feedback. No goal setting.

For the same cost or less, I also provide Life/Lifestyle Coaching which looks at all aspects of how you live.

Your Activity, Sleep, Rest, Work, Environment, Diet, Social, Relationships.

All these areas in your life interlink, and have an effect on the other. This is known as 'The Ripple Effect'
Weight-loss for example can be halted by poor sleep habits, or lack of rest or poor gut hygiene.

Discussing and taking in to account all of these areas helps us create a plan together to build positive changes as we progress.
If you are just looking for someone to hand you an exercise sheet each week, that's not me.

If however you need a guiding hand, someone to progress and talk with along the way and learn how to create a sustainable healthy lifestyle, then absolutely I can help you.

If you need to lose weight, tone up, build muscle, improve your eating-habits or build a better sleep routine, again these are things which can be easily addressed by breaking your goals down into 'micro' goals and starting small.

If you are looking for someone to watch doing exercises, that's not me.
If you enjoy talking face-to-face online (sometimes in person), are happy to use simple online tools to access relevant coaching materials, are happy to carry out basic homework tasks, are happy to complete occasional question forms and are ready to make positive changes in the relevant areas of your life, then give me a call.

At present I only coach remotely (online).
Sometimes I'm prepared to offer outdoor 'walking' coaching sessions where we can discuss their needs whilst out in the fresh air and hopefully sunshine.

My online coaching is currently run through a secure Google Drive server, which is a very simple and easy to use tool for sharing my coaching material. A free google email (GMail) account is required.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Coaching remotely means I can provide all the client support required without any Covid concerns.
I sometimes offer walking coaching sessions, commencing March '22 now things have calmed down somewhat however, 99% of my coaching is done online.
