One For All Fitness

One For All is an online personal training membership serviced through our app, website, and your phone communication. We personally train you using our unique Strength through Length system, which is a combination of full range of motion strength training, stretching, and conditioning. After you sign up, you’ll be invited to join our app, powered by TrueCoach, where we assign your personalized program based on your goals, previous injuries (if applicable) and training history. There are both strength and flexibility standards/levels to achieve IN BALANCE with each other, giving you specific milestones to shoot for over the course of your training. The app includes video instruction for each exercise of each workout, and we coach your exercise form videos (submitted by you through the app) after you mark the workout complete. This allows us to ensure you move with proper form, monitor progress, and recommend progressions/regressions/substitutions as needed, thus replacing the need for an in-person trainer at less than half the cost We can also communicate with you through the app’s messaging feature 24/7 whenever you have a question or need support. You’ll receive reminders to complete your workouts as scheduled, and we will follow up with you personally if we see that you are missing workouts, keeping you accountable and ensuring you stay on track and motivated. Your program can be done FROM HOME or IN THE GYM, depending on your circumstances. In fact, our no equipment options have become the most popular due to COVID-19, and you can still get very effective workouts with little to no equipment. Every person is a different puzzle, we are simply finding the best solution for YOU. First we make sure that all of your qualities are in balance, and then work to raise all of those qualities to higher levels so that you look, feel and perform your best. If you are already training for a specific sport or event, this program can still be fully integrated to your training schedule, even enhancing your recovery and performance. As far as nutrition and diet go, we provide you with our guidelines and resources to structure a healthy diet plan, including sample diets, but personalized meal plans are not provided. However, we are happy to review your current eating habits and answer any and all questions related to diet as part of your membership.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

Every person has a different injury history, training experience, and availability of equipment. After taking these factors into account along with their goals, we help our members make progress by structuring an effective dose of training that starts them on a level they can handle so they can progress from there. Through our app we communicate frequently and monitor form videos to ensure the exercises are done properly - we can make adjustments over the course of weeks/months to continue making steady progress!

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

The three pillars of an effective training regimen are Diet, Exercise, and Recovery. Food is the fuel that powers workouts and the body's daily function, exercise taxes the body enough to cause an adaptation, and recovery (sleep and rest) is where the body comes back just a little bit better than before. Getting the body of your dreams involves nailing all three - for men we are looking to create broad shoulders and a lean waist for a masculine V taper and for women we are looking to create strong hip musculature (glutes) and a lean waist for that hourglass shape. There are specific ratios and measurements that we recommend our members strive for - it's less about the weight on the scale and more about the shape of your physique. We want our members to feel strong, mobile, and athletic.

What do you love most about your job?

Putting a focus on our own training and making progress is the most fun part of the job - we want to inspire our members, social media followers, friends, and family to live a healthier lifestyle focused on staying pain free and feeling good more often than not. We take the most effective training methods that we ourselves have used and apply the same methodology to our members. Seeing more and more members achieve their goals is beyond rewarding!

What inspired you to start your own business?

We both worked in corporate America for several years and had respectable positions in the IT (Tanner) and Finance (Troy) worlds, training others on the side ever since our college days. Our priorities were always health and sport performance, but those values are not a really priority for most people who work a desk job for 8+ hours per day, and that motivated us to apply strength and mobility principles that work for top athletes and scale them down to something that regular people could benefit from. Living with aches and pains in the knees, back, shin splints, neck, etc can be depressing - training in a way that makes you both look and feel good elevates every part of your life, which is why we are so passionate about our business.

Why should our clients choose you?

We personalize our programs to fit the needs of each member and offer a remote training service that is on demand so we can support our members whenever they need us. We work 7 days per week and pride ourselves in having a fast response time to members' questions.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, we are exclusively an online training/remote coaching business. We typically have an initial call to chat in more detail about goals and expectations, and the rest of the communication is via the app or on WhatsApp. Your form clips are how we see your form and ensure safety, and we will send clips back to you if something needs more detail to explain when simple text does not suffice.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Since we are online, we don't run the risk of spreading Covid-19 during training - instead we have experimented and researched the top strength/mobility methods which can be done from home so our members don't NEED to go to a gym to make progress.

Personal Trainers FAQs

Expand all

It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!

Pretty much anywhere! The great thing about personal training is that it’s flexible - as long as you have the necessary equipment, you and your instructor can decide to have your sessions from the gym, your home, the park, or even your office if you want to!

Yes! First of all, they will chat with you about your goals, and discuss the best way to achieve them. They should also ask you to fill in a consent form to check that you don’t have any pre-existing health conditions that could impact your exercise. They’ll also carry out a health assessment to get a better idea of your current fitness level, tailoring your workout plan around that.

It's tricky to say, as personal training sessions vary significantly depending on what you want to achieve and the type of workout. Generally, one personal training session tends to last forty-five minutes to one hour. It will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by the nitty-gritty of the actual workout, with stretches to end the session. Remember, warming up and stretching is essential for injury prevention - it’s just as important as the main part of the workout!

A personal trainer needs to be clued up on all aspects of fitness, from the most effective exercise techniques to nutrition and human anatomy- that’s a lot of responsibility! You need to make sure your professional is suitably qualified for the job. After all, you shouldn’t cut corners when it comes to investing in your health. Make sure your trainer has the minimum qualifications required to practice. In the UK, this is the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.

Absolutely! Online personal training has become increasingly popular as more people are looking to maintain their fitness during lockdowns and gyms closing. As long as you and your personal trainer have a strong internet connection and a device to stream on like a laptop, tablet or smartphone, there's no reason why your session can't be delivered remotely.
