I joined this place about 7 months ago for the convenience of finishing my workout in 30 minutes but, I have to say it offers more than just convenience. This is one of the best workouts available for all fitness levels. Combined with a good nutrition plan, you can see great results in a relatively short time.
Also Craig and his team are some of the great trainers one can have, they push you to perform better in every workout. I'm highly satisfied with what this place had to offer and recommend trying it out.

I'm a bodybuilder/figure competitor and not uncommon for me to occasionally gym hop for convenience, access to equipment, motivation, etc. Tried a free Rise class as a way to replace hours of stair master with a more fun way to do cardio and within a week went through the foundations course and joined CrossFit Pineville. The facility is clean, spacious and well equipped. Great community and camaraderie. Coaches are knowledgeable and modify movements/lifts to safely accommodate skill level, mobility or injuries while challenging you with a great workout every time. And key for me ... great schedule with plenty of class options to choose from early morning to evenings to weekends. Highly recommend!

I trained with Becky from June to October and absolutely recommend her! Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she is great at tailoring the workouts to your needs. I initially signed up for the 12-week challenge, but when that was over I couldn't bear the thought of stopping yet, so I kept going until I ran out of money. ;) Over the course of training, Becky became a friend to me, and the sessions honestly were like therapy. She was always happy to offer nutrition advice, and she took my measurements before and after training but respected that I didn't want to be weighed. I know I wasn't the easiest client at times... When workouts were especially hard, I may have seemed cold or moody, but she kept me going and kept a positive attitude throughout! She's the best cheerleader. Also a bonus: If you like dogs, her sweet, precious fur baby will greet you and say goodbye to you every time. She also lets you choose what music you'd like to listen to - whether it's heavy metal, contemporary Christian, or anything in between.

Great facility, great staff at NW Cary. Pool could use adult swim hours after 8 pm. Good value, but know that this isn’t the best gym in the world for loud powerlifters (check out CrossFit bro) or luxury finishes (Lifetime is for you) or billions of sports teams for kids (The Y welcomes you). But this is medical fitness done well high with a team of trainers, physical therapists, exercise instructors, massage therapists, and plain nice folks that make for a unique experience.
CrossFit 15-501 has been a game changer for me. I was new to Crossfit and was not sure initially. But last 6 weeks at crossfit have been definitely very rewarding. Hunter, Jim and Mirka are fantastic trainers. They have been very particular on the program strategy (I did a 6 week challenge), daily workouts (mixing up and ordering the workout for best results) and most importantly the form and efficiency. I got great results myself and would definitely recommend this.
Anita creates a wonderful environment for people of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels. She will modify any of the workouts to accommodate injuries and skill. Her workouts are tough, but even after going consistently, I was still working out new muscle groups and always walked away feeling like I'd accomplished a lot. Her group workouts create an atmosphere that makes you want to keep coming back for more! She is highly motivational and wants every client to reach their goals, no matter how big or small.
I wanted to offer a strong endorsement for Coach Mondragon of Personally Fit. My son has started to work out with him for strength training for wrestling about a month ago and I can say that so far he has helped him tremendously. Since Coach Chris was a very succesful wrestler himself and also coached wrestling in the past he obviously understands the specific muscles that wrestlers need to improve. Not wasting time in the wrong areas. He is a very positive guy and he and his staff have made it very enjoyable for him, so he actually looks forward to going. I started personal training on March 1st with Willie Davis. I am excited to say that I am down 5.2 pounds by simply following his meal plan and exercise program. Willie is very knowledgeable and energetic. Book him, you will not be disappointed. Hard work yields results, and a Great Trainer makes it all worth it!
Rachel helped me recover from plantar fasciitis through exercises and releasing extremely tight calf muscles. I now have about 10 very good exercises that I do regularly to continue to strengthen my feet so I can continue an active lifestyle pain free! Highly recommended!

OMG!! When I met EJ for our initial meeting I was in a really rough season. My confidence/self esteem were really low and I was not happy in the mind, body, and spirit I was in. I quickly learned that working with EJ was a blessing because he not only became my trainer he invested in me as a whole (mentally,emotionally, and physically). You would think that would be enough but he also invested in my son and made it an environment that me as a busy single mother of 2 was able to work out while accommodating my motherly duties. If you are a single mother you know trying to focus on your personal fitness is very difficult without having a sitter or paying and arm and leg to a gym with a kids center. After our 90 days I am now able to walk with my head held high again and embrace the woman that looks back at me in the mirror knowing she still has work to do but proud of how far she has come! Thank you thank you thank you! You are amazing and we will be back in even better shape then we left you ready for round 2!!
Everyone here is great, always smiling, and just a relaxing and no-judgment environment to be in. They play music anywhere from country to reggae and shoes are optional. Only halfway through my treatment course, I can already see a vast improvement in my day to day activities and feel. Looking forward to the second half of my treatments and the continued improvements. Unlike other places I have gone, I like the results from the combined holistic approach, all of which are in house services. I would recommend stopping by for an assessment and seeing their approach for yourself.
I used to hate working out and this place has been a game changer for me. About 1.5yrs ago I was climbing in pant sizes and decided I wanted to get serious about my health without relying on past "diets" that never worked. I decided to try Isotolp and after 4 months my clothes fit better, I wasn't out of breath walking up stairs and I just FELT better. The Dynamic Human and specialty classes always offer variety and challenge you to push yourself each time. Chris is an expert at what he does and his honesty has never steered me wrong. He creates an atmosphere of support and accountability which I need to reach my fitness goals. What is exceptional about this gym is that everyone in the classes is the same way - supportive, positive and accountable - creating an atmosphere that is fun to be around too. I now look forward to working out.
As an athlete, workout enthusiast, and current physical therapy student I can attest to the all around excellence that ActivEdge pursues in both their theory and execution of health, fitness, and rehabilitation. The atmosphere that they have created is more like a family than a gym; it is a support system of individuals who will push you to your next level or give you the tools you need to get back on your feet. My athleticism has continually grown over the past 10 years with the ActivEdge community and I plan to stick with them for many more.
Bill is an exceptional trainer. I hardly know I'm working out because he makes our hours fun. Don't get me wrong... I definitely feel it the next day but the time flies by! No two workouts are the same which keeps everything fast-paced and interesting. He takes pride in his work and in his client's accomplishments. Your success is his success and he never stops pushing you to be better, stronger and more balanced in your life.
Brandon's workouts can be tough but they are thoughtful and intentional based on your fitness level and needs. In just a few months, I lost 20 lbs and have started to tone up nicely. I am extremely pleased with the results and would highly recommend giving this program a try.

As a member of Total You Fitness & Nutrition I get more than just shakes, teas and personal training. I have gained a fitness family that motivates, encourages and inspires. I am not alone in my journey to be fit and healthy. Some days when I walk into the gym I get some much needed praise & worship as well as an empowering Word from Coach Jay. What an awesome way to start my day! I also love the fact that Total You offers classes such as Trap Yoga, Twerk & Tone, Twerk Aerobics and Zumba throughout the month. Working out and getting fit and healthy is never dull or boring at Total You Fitness & Nutrition. You not only get the results you're working so hard for but you also have a great time doing so. I lost 30lbs following the meal plan and showing up for my training sessions with the coaches. Coach T, Coach Jay and Coach Tae are helping me be my best self and live my best life!

Love Excel! It is more than a gym. It is a community with skilled group fitness instructors who all want you to have fun while working hard at your goals. They always offer modifications and have helped me maintain workouts throughout my pregnancy. The class offerings at any of their membership levels are varied and convenient to most any schedule you could imagine. They update equipment and keep a clean environment. Give it a try but also give it some time. After a while, you will be sad if you miss a session!
The staff and members at CrossFit Kaiju are great! I've actually been a member at another local gym in Charlotte for 5+ years and I have been dropping in at CF Kaiju this year due to my schedule. Hands down, Steve and his staff are awesome, especially with allowing me to workout on my own during their class times. I always want to make sure that their members and classes come first and am cognizant of what area to workout in while their classes are in session. Just from observing their classes, you can tell they take pride in making sure everyone is getting a good workout and moving well. Of course, their members are always welcoming and supportive and it's an all around great community to be in. Thanks CF Kaiju for the hospitality! I would highly recommend you all!
We transitioned gyms not even a year ago and my daughter has grown leaps and bounds. Before we made the move to Superior my daugter was at a point where she didnt want to go to her workouts at all. She wasn't smiling in the gym anymore. During the first week at Superior her smile was back. She couldn't wait to go to the gym. To this day she is still smiling and loves being there. The coaches are amazing. They push the girls with positive reinforcement. They take time with the parents sharing information about the girls progress. I would recommend Superior to anyone. The most important thing for me was my daughters smile and her love of the sport. She found both with Superior
Fantastic workout, everyone is super friendly and helpful, the trainers will push you to work hard and provide modifications if there is something you are unable to do. Best of all it’s FUN! Let’s face it, you are much more likely to show up consistently if you enjoy what you are doing. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.
The SwimMAC program is the top swim program in the country by the entity of USA Swimming and trains athletes well. As a swimmer I have had many positive experiences as a swimmer here and have been swimming for the past 7 years. Many lessons and skills have been taught that can be applied anywhere outside the pool. Over all SwimMAC teaches discipline and respect to young athletes for the future while trianing them to be the best swimmers.
At 45 years old, I was a little anxious about starting a CrossFit program. Luckily I came across Top Tier during my search for a box. Brandon and Mike have been awesome coaches and there for support all the time while I completed my foundations classes and working through my first week of WODs, and the community here is truly exceptional! You won't regret joining and starting on your fitness journey at this box!
Amazing community with great workouts and schedule. The gym does a great job planning workouts that are more endurance based with those that are more strength based. Not surprised Wilmington's first Crossfit gym is still around and thriving after 7 years of business.
Just You Fitness has been a wonderful experience for me! I started my weight loss journey 2 years ago, and the next step was exercise routines. I tried it on my on, but needed to be held accountable. Very knowledgeable about shredding & bulking! I never was able to do a pull up until I came to him now I can bust out 10 on my own! I put on 10lbs of muscle and cleared all water weight from mid section! He is a tough trainer but cares about all his clients! Very successful in the business, and can help anyone succeed if you interested.
I’d never had a personal trainer before Hannah so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she is amazing. Before the actually training we had a consultation to discuss my goals, she is very knowledgeable, personable and professional. She demonstrates every exercise before she has me do them, and explains what muscle, or muscles the exercise will work, which ensures that I’m doing the exercise properly. In addition to this, she has modifications ready, if I need them.
She’s also very encouraging! There have been some sessions where I needed a push or times where my eating wasn’t ideal, but she reminded me that it’s mind over matter and that going off my diet isn’t the end of the world and as long I get back on track my goals will be met.
This encouragement, along with the training, helps me to stay accountable for my actions, and thus far has produced results that I’m proud of. I highly recommend Hannah as a trainer, you won’t be disappointed.
I worked with Firman from 13 years old all the way to my undergraduate years as a D1 athlete. He made me into a phenomenal athlete, and I could not recommend anybody in the Raleigh area higher than Firman. A+ all around. At 27 years old, I now appreciate him and everything he's done for my athletic career and personal growth more than ever.
I have been a member of many YMCA's in the Triad; however, Winston Lake Family Y is my favorite by far. I'm so glad I opted to transfer my membership to my community. The Winston Lake location is clean, welcoming, a lot of fun, and has ALL of the amenities I like in a workout facility. My FAVORITE class is Praise Kraze, however, I've seen Aqua Zumba and would love to try it out on a day I need lower impact than what Praise Kraze offers. My only feedback is....please give longer hours on Saturday and Sunday another try. Give it time to truly see the numbers. I really don't want to have to go to another location for workouts on the days I have most flexibility. In addition, please ensure those days have classes.

Most people are looking for the easy way out....when in reality, the injections and "most" surgeries are "fixing" a bad motor pattern that has accumulated large amounts of pain. I'm glad that I did have knee surgery....if I hadn't had knee surgery, it would not have put me on the path to you! Richard is wonderful! After many injuries and fitness hurdles, I decided to utilize a trainer to help ensure that I was using the correct muscles in the right way. Group classes fit my personal budget the best and I couldn't be more happy with my decision to start working with Adrenaline Rush Sports. The group classes are usually on the smaller side and Richard takes the time to correct each person, often manually adjusting your position to help you get the most out of the exercise. Richard truly cares about his clients and helping them correct weaknesses and recover from injuries, while building overall strength. I've only done the core foundation classes so far, but as I get into better shape I plan to try his more high intensity classes.
The employees and members of the Hayes-Taylor YMCA are professional, loving, helpful and family oriented. Our family has benefited from the youth programs, basketball courts, swimming facilities, and exercise equipment. They keep the place and equipment extremely clean. Friends of our family love the fitness classes. Maybe this year we'll participate in a class as well!
I have struggled with lower back pain for years. Several months after having a lumbar surgery (L5-S1 discectomy) I started working out with Scott Perry because my pain management physician referred me to him to help me strengthen the muscles in my lower back. After the first month of working out with Scott I began to feel much better. Since then I have continued to experience more progress. In addition to my scheduled training sessions, Scott also gives me very effective home routines to follow through with on the days that I don't workout with him at Real Results. The additional routines really help me stay consistent and I am held accountabile to follow through with them knowing that my next training session is right around the corner. My strength and flexibility have never been better and I continue to experience less pain. Satisfied client!
