I am a patient and talented guitar teacher with over a decade of experience in both teaching and performing. I have a Bachelor of Music with Honours (Bmus Hons) degree in guitar performance and an endorsement in guitar tuition from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. If you are wanting to learn to play guitar properly you need a well qualified teacher with a strong subject knowledge and a passion for education and improvement, but who is equally relaxed and has experience of both professional and amateur music making. I have a wider performance experience than many teachers and I have: provide music at classical events attend by the Queen and high ranking MP's; toured with The Eilidh Grant Scottish Folk band for 6 years; performed with a 30 piece Jazz Big Band (3 years); performed in bars and clubs with metal and rock bands. I have many videos of myself playing on youtube and teach all styles of music to all ages ranging from 3 years to 90 years. I teach privately in London and also run Glasgow School of Guitar remotely, providing group guitar tuition in Glasgow. I have even published my own guitar tutor book SoundTuition.com's Ultimate Guitar Textbook - Part 1. You won't find a better qualified, more experienced, more passionate teacher. Please ask any questions you have, checkout my video's of me playing on the soundtuition website or youtube and have a lovely day. I look forward to helping you learn to play guitar properly in the style(s) you are excited about. Pete (I have a full DBS - previously known as CRB and am currently studying for a PGCE. I also teach Ukulele, Mandolin and Bass Guitar)

Guitar Lessons in Fife are 40 minutes. One-to-One tuition (or a duo FOR THE SAME PRICE) in a private studio in East Wemyss, Fife. Lessons cost £20. I provide ALL materials for that. The first lesson I provide a CD with Hundreds of £ pounds £ worth of lessons FREE. You get to keep this as a gift anyway. I recommend talking to me BEFORE you buy a guitar. I am happy to give free and unbiased advice on purchase and which style you should study if you have no preference. I am also happy to rent the student a guitar until the student can choose one for him/herself. As a matter of interest many prospective students and/or their parent/s assume that acoustic guitar is a better choice for a beginner. This is wrong. Electric guitar is generally cheaper for a good quality instrument - even including the cost of an amp etc and is EASIER TO PLAY The electric instrument also offers the chance of nearly silent practice - a boon for neighbours and housemates. You may pay in advance for lessons (as few or as many as you wish) and I can offer a GIFT CD prepared and personalised with your own message if you wish to give the gift of music making to a loved one. I only teach on Sundays and Tuesdays and have VERY few slots left so phone me on 01592 580729 if you wish to arrange a course of lessons.
