‘21 Certificate of Excellence

Welcome to: www.dcfunctionalfitness.co.uk Do you lack the motivation or find it difficult to know where to start when if comes to exercise? Do you have the desire to change your lifestyle or achieve your long-held goal but need help getting there? I've been helping clients achieve their goals for many years, and I can help you achieve yours. Yes, it does mean that you have to be willing to put in the time, effort and commitment, and if you are then I can help you! I'm always asked, how often should I be training a week? The answer to that it's different for every individual, whether you can train once a week or six times a week, it's about making the best use of the time you have available to you. Of course, everyone is different and what is right for one person isn't necessarily going to be right for someone else. Ultimately it comes down to being consistent and having a level of commitment to want to make that difference, but also fit around social lives, kids, and being something that fits around that without being too restrictive. This means that getting the balance between exercise and a good diet is of course important to see those results you what, but also in a sustainable and maintainable way. So, I lead you through structured training sessions using the right exercises in the right way for you whatever your goal or requirement. Also, when you're not training with me and maybe you want to structure a workout routine to do at home or the gym, again that's something I can help you with. With that as well with the nutritional side of things i can guide and help you to make those changes to your diet that become a long-term change, and not some super restrictive short-term diet! Pricing of personal training packages is listed below in services, also on https://www.dcfunctionalfitness.co.uk

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

I try and provide my clients with as much support as possible, so whether it's training once, twice or even three times a week with me, I provide all of my clients with the same support. With full pdf nutritional downloads created by myself, body mapping to track progress, and possibly the most important of all, the emotional support. It quite often gets overlooked in our industry, but the mental side aspect of making those changes or achieving those goals are as important if not more important than the physical. So I work with my clients in all these aspects to help them get to where they want to be.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

I guess the one thing over everything else is consistency! Whether with the exercises, nutrition or of course ideally both, it's about being able to maintain a good consistent week in week out overall balanced lifestyle. Not extreme diets or extreme training! Yes of course it involves some hard work, but if your looking to get and maintain the 'Body of your Dreams' then consistency is the key!

What do you love most about your job?

Of course helping someone to get a bit fitter or loose those pounds always puts a smile on your face when you've helped someone achieve their goal. But for me when you have someone with a specific problem they need help with, whether that might be knee problem from poor hip alignment or lower back pain from week gluts etc.., it's always a great feeling knowing that you've played a part in helping to rectify that problem, and improve not only their fitness but also their day to day life!.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Well I suppose in short, being in control of my own future.

Why should our clients choose you?

I'm a well experienced trainer and also being in my late 30's not only is that extra experience an invaluable tool in the sense of knowing how to get the best out of you. Also every single person has a slightly different set of goals, and as a trainer it's always important to be able to connect with a client to fully understand the many different reasons behind not only the goals they want to achieve but also the reasons for deciding to work towards those goals in the first place. I also think which is important and always encourage potential clients to do, is to have the opportunity to sit down with me for a short face to face chat to be able to discuss all aspects in more detail. Also though from a potential clients point of view it's important for them to look round the studio, have the chance to ask any questions and just meet me in person, and not feel they have to commit to training sessions until they've at least have the opportunity to have all the facts.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Very much in the same way as anyone wanting to train on a 1 to 1 basis with me, we'll have that initial contact on the phone to discuss what it is you're hoping to get out of training sessions, how i can help you achieve those goals, and whether online training is going to be right and work for you. Online training is of course different to in person training ,and isn't right for everyone, but in the same way as 1 to 1 training it's tailored training for each individual.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

As a result of the pandemic i have shifted my focus away from a semi private studio to training the majority of my clients from my own private setup. This means i have complete control of the training environment to ensure its a totally covid safe environment, and i always wear a face mask when training clients. I have worn a face mask throughout this pandemic and will continue to do so, which is certainly not something you'll find from the majority of trainers!.
