DM Fitness

The goal of DM Fitness is to help others reach their health/fitness goals, and by extension, to lead a healthier, more fulfilling life. Who I am: My name is Daryl. I received my personal trainer certification through the American Council of Exercise (ACE) which is an internationally recognized accreditation. Additionally, my personal experience in the fitness realm comes with 12 years of consistent training in the gym and being involved in organized sports throughout my childhood and adolescence. This list of sports includes baseball, soccer, track and field, cross country, and football. I also have experience training in martial arts (2.5 years of boxing; 1.5 years of kickboxing). My Fitness Tenets: - There is no one way to go about exercise as everyone has a different starting point and end goal - Take no shortcuts as they typically lead to injuries. - Consistency is key – fitness is rented, and you must pay the bills (train) to keep it. - Prioritize the quality of repetitions

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

When it comes to fitness, everyone has their own personal goals, time availability, current fitness level, past exercise experience, body type, chronic conditions, and presence of injuries (current and past). An exercise program should factor in each of these variables to be optimal, and that is what I do to the best of my ability. No “one-size-fits-all” program!

Along with the design of a program, my intention is to educate my clients on how to exercise safely and effectively! Getting injured is a surefire way to set you back months of progress so learning how to avoid this is of the utmost importance.

Finally, I am here to motivate my clients to keep pushing toward their goals! Fitness journeys are never always going to be sunshine and rainbows. There are going to be times when the motivation to get after it is absent. In these times, feel free to reach out via text and we can work together on getting your mindset back on track!

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

The secret to getting the body of your dreams is consistency! This goes for both exercise and diet.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about my job is that it gives me the ability to have a positive impact on people’s lives. Regularly exercising can improve both physical and mental health, and therefore one’s quality of life!

What inspired you to start your own business?

There is a unique degree of freedom that comes along with having your own business that I desire. In addition, I have always been driven, ambitious, and methodical. Recognition of those facts has led me to believe the entrepreneurial route is one I should explore. Since my biggest passion is fitness, I figured starting a fitness business made the most sense for me.

Why should our clients choose you?

One of my biggest strengths as a person is being great at problem-solving. My mind is naturally very analytical. In university, I gravitated towards math and finance due to those fields favouring analytical minds. Even though at first glance, helping clients achieve fitness goals may seem completely unrelated to these other fields, at its core, it is in fact not. Every fitness goal a client brings to me is a puzzle that must be solved. From my perspective, this puzzle is: “How can I work together with this individual to most effectively move them toward their goal(s)?” I take the same approach as I would in solving a math or finance-based problem – analyze, systematically break down, and generate a solution.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I can provide my services online/remotely. For my online service, I will be designing month-to-month programs for my clients to follow. This service includes regular check-ins on progress, mindset, and feelings about the program overall. I am also available to answer any questions that may arise!
