FAQ

How much does a Plumber cost?

The average cost of a plumber depends on whether they charge a fixed rate or per hour. It can also be affected by your location and the time required to complete the job.

Your professional plumber will be able to advise you on the full range of options available, as well as what is most suitable for you. Use Bark to get free quotes and get in touch with local plumbers today.

What can Plumbers help with?

Some of the common services your plumber can help with include:

  • Drain treatment to maximise flow rate.
  • Cleaning of waste disposals and water heaters.
  • Pressure tests to detect hairline leaks.
  • Water pressure assessment and adjustment.

How do I choose the best Plumber?

There are various factors worth considering when choosing your plumber. These include:

  • Quotations - Homeowners should be careful about any quotes you receive over the phone. Good plumbers typically want to see and analyse your problem before giving you an estimate of the total cost of finishing the repairs. Experienced professionals should include the cost of any new parts needed to complete the repair.

  • Sub-contractors - If the plumber uses helpers or subcontractors, ask about the credentials and experience they have. You do not want to risk having the person who is fixing the plumbing to have less training or experience of the plumber you initially speak with.

  • Qualifications - Make sure the plumber has all the correct qualifications. You can ask him/her to show evidence of his/her license. Be somewhat wary of newly licensed plumbers without much experience, but they also may provide a better rate than those with more years of experience.

  • Estimate - Ask for an estimate to avoid unwelcome surprises when the repair job is finished. If the plumber tells you the rate is hourly, make sure to ask how long it should take to finish the repairs. The more experience the qualified plumber has the better, because it will help them to give an accurate estimate of the time it typically takes to complete the job.

You can be confident that any of the Bark local plumbers listed will give you a reliable and professional service.

How do I check my Plumber’s credentials?

You should look for plumbers who are qualified to NVQ Level 2 standard in plumbing.
It is also worth looking out for WaterSafe approved plumbers who will hold an ID badge.

Before you choose a plumber, you should read customer testimonials and reviews on their website or Bark profile.

What inspired you to start your own business?

The notion of being my own boss and having my own company has always appealed to me. This way i can have a 121 direct relationship with my customers w The ithout the need of overheads or middle men which I feel can cause a certain amount of misunderstanding and confusion.
When dealing with customers directly I can sort out any concerns and issues they have in a more robust and efficient manner which means any enquiry, concerns or issues can be excellerated and handled quickly without the need for any unnecessary fuss or confusion.
Also customers like to talk to someone who they have had a good experience with before and prefer to see a friendly, familiar face and not be talking to different unknown people over the phone and having to repeat themselves over and over again whilst having to update different people on the same enquiry or concerns they have.
This I feel is a key element to ruining my own business both effectively and efficiently.

Why should our clients choose you?

I'll keep this answers short and sweet:
Clients should choose me because I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in domestic Gas and Heating also Electrical work, I am very reasonably priced with no surprise hidden charges, I'm fact i like to do deals and discounts with customers to make the job they asking me to do more affordable and cost effective within reason.
I have a work effic that is second to none. I take pride in my work and i'm only happy when a job is complete to my customers full satisfaction.
