I'm Emily, a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and Sports Massage therapist with specialisms in Ante/Postnatal women, older people and medical referrals, based in Surrey, UK. My mobile personal training service provides tailored exercise plans that work for your individual needs and goals all within the comfort of your own home. You don’t need a gym membership to reap the rewards of exercise. I will come to your home, garden (or other location of choice) and take you through a personalised fitness routine that will increase your strength, ramp up your fitness and boost your metabolism. You don’t need to have access to lots of equipment either as I will bring it with me! I offer support to all clients between sessions to ensure you stay on track and motivated. You will be provided with a weekly exercise plan to work through between sessions and I am available to answer any questions, provide motivation and offer feedback when you need it. Getting in shape isn’t always a linear process and sometimes life gets in the way. I understand that staying motivated is hard and as your personal trainer I will be here to help you keep that momentum and help you over the inevitable bumps in the road. I also offer nutrition advice - what you eat is a key part of reaching your health and fitness goals. We will work together to look at your current eating habits and preferences and craft a plan that includes simple solutions that will boost you on your fitness journey without leaving you feeling deprived. For those looking for a tailored plan but who also enjoy the social aspect of exercise classes, I can offer small group PT: Get together with a group of likeminded friends with similar goals to keep each other motivated and on track. Receive tailored workouts and nutrition advice and support as with a 1-2-1 personal training session but at a fraction of the cost. Depending on the size of your group (max 6) the price per session could be equivalent to attending a standard exercise class, which provides none of the individualisation and support you receive with personal training. Group sessions can be held at one of the group’s houses or gardens (dependent on room available) or at a local park or other area of choice. The main advantages of group sessions, other than the cost, are the extra layer of accountability and motivation each member feels and provides. Your group is there to cheer you on at every milestone as well as relying on you to show up each session and give it your best! As your personal trainer I am here to keep you motivated and provide support for each of you, but as a group you are your own best cheerleaders! Initial consultation is FREE, we will get together informally to discuss your goals and needs and there is no obligation to sign up for anything.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

I work closely with clients to understand all of their health and fitness goals and to work out the best way to achieve these. Taking into consideration all of their preferences I will sculpt a programme that will be challenging, effective and, most of all, enjoyable! I don't believe there is a 'one size fits all' solution for health and fitness and we will use a variety of training to ensure we get the best combination for each individual client. Strength, flexibility, functional and cardio fitness will all be utilised to find the perfect formula for each clients needs and goals.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

I believe the secret to achieving the body of your dreams is to take the emphasis away from the aesthetics and concentrate on creating a body that moves well, feels strong, is energetic and capable of doing any task you ask of it. A body that can do all of these things will inevitably be lean, toned and aesthetically pleasing, but all of those things are by products of looking after your body and enabling it to lift, run and move. Your body confidence will skyrocket as your realise everything you are capable of. Prioritise your physical and emotional health, strength and fitness and fat loss will simply be a pleasant side effect.

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing clients progress and really embrace physical activity as a part of their lives. Seeing people make that switch from motivation - which can be short lived - to habit and changing their lifestyle permanently. The health benefits of exercise go far beyond the visible, physical effects. Exercise is (as the NHS states) the 'miracle cure', physical, emotional and mental health all benefit from regular exercise and I love seeing client's confidence grow in all aspects of their lives. Whether a client has a long term plan or is in need of help for a specific event it is amazing to be a part of them changing their lives and achieving more than they realised they were capable of.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was inspired to become a personal trainer as health and fitness has always been a huge part of my life and I wanted to be able to help others to embrace the same lifestyle. I offer mobile training as I know that many people don't have time to access a gym or are unable to because of family commitments. Many are uncomfortable in the gym environment and that this can put them off from even starting an exercise programme - by bringing the gym to them we can bypass all those feelings and create the perfect programme for each individual.

I understand how hard it is to take that first step and so I offer private sessions which will help to increase confidence whatever your starting point. I offer support to all clients between sessions to ensure you stay on track and motivated. You will be provided with a weekly exercise plan to work through between sessions and I am available to answer any questions, provide motivation and offer feedback when you need it. As a mum of 2 I definitely understand that sometimes it is hard to find time to fit exercise into your life and can offer lots of easy tips to get you more active day to day, as well as ideas for healthy and satisfying meals for all. I am qualified to adapt exercise for Pre/Postnatal women, as well as, Older adults so all levels and ages can be catered for.
