Tyne and Wear
My approach is integrative, meaning that I do not rigidly adhere to only one approach; I use elements of a range of different therapies where appropriate to do so based on your own therapy needs. This includes the use of CBT, DBT, ACT and Skills Training. I also offer EMDR for trauma. As a Chartered Psychologist, I have been able to demonstrate to the regulatory body (the British Psychological Society) my ability to plan, implement and evaluate my practice, whilst ensuring that I am able to assimilate new research and evidence-base. As part of my membership to the BPS and the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) I am required to demonstrate continuing personal development, which includes regular peer discussions, reviewing the literature and taking part in training with official providers, to ensure the best service for clients.
