Your guide to trees that are perfect for summer pruning
I am relatively new to 'Bark' but with over 25 years experience as a Tree Surgeon, I am referred to as 'The Intrepid Tree Surgeon' as there aren't any tree-related jobs that intimidate me..........the higher the better! Our family-run business consists of me, my partner, and 17yr old daughter who likes to help with the admin! I work alongside other qualified Tree Surgeons when the job requires them. I specialise in all aspects of tree work including removal, reshaping/reductions, and hedge trimming. I also cut and sell logs/kindling (local free delivery within 5 miles included).
I simply love to climb and have done so since I was a small boy! The level of satisfaction after a completed job, from both a customer's perspective and mine, is always very rewarding. The job variety within my industry always keeps life interesting.
When I was younger I worked with 1 Tree Surgeon in particular, who showed and taught me everything I needed to know about 'trees' and tree work. He was my inspiration in setting up my own business - I wanted to do him proud, which thankfully I have done.............so he says!
I'm the Intrepid Tree Surgeon and can honestly claim that no one climbs like me! I pride myself on the consistent referrals from other Tree Surgeon 'friends' when a tree is challenging or 'too high' for them to climb. You must have a real passion to do what I do and I absolutely love to climb, reduce, re-shape and trim (it's an art). The higher I am and the moodier the tree, the more content and stimulated I am - I just then look forward to the finishing touches at the end of each job.
Outside of the above, I challenge (and indeed request) any client to find fault with my finish as I pride myself on leaving a job with everything clean and tidy........ after all clients need to focus on the good work completed, not the mess left behind as proven by my repeat business clients.
I follow all protocols outlined by each individual customer. What they say, goes.
