Our 5 Philosophies drive who we are and give you the best results! Unique, individual programs: All the clubs and trainers try to give you the exact same workout plan or nutrition as everyone else! We are all unique individuals, with individual needs and our programs should reflect that. Compassion: In so many professionals we saw they all saw their clients as a number, not an individual person. We focus on getting to know you so you feel comfortable that we are invested and care! Everything that is needed!: So many in the fitness world do not focus on things outside of the gym. Nutrition gets focused on but nobody seems to acknowledge the importance of sleep, stress relief, or mental well-being. You cannot be healthy if you do not focus on the entire aspect of yourself as a person! Flexibility: Not just physically! So many get tied down to one location, one time, no ways around it. We want to make sure that your fitness program fits your life and schedule, not the other way around! Cost: Exuberant costs at big-box gyms can make fitness and training seem unreachable! We work hard to deliver you the most reasonable price points in the industry, and a variety of options to get the results you need without breaking the bank Here at 501 Fitness we believe by focusing on and changing these things we may not be able to change the world, but we can change YOUR world.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

Learn exactly about you. The more I know about where you are and where you want to be, the more I can help you. We sit down, take a look at everything you do in a daily life and figure out how to make fitness fit you, not the other way around.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

There is no secret, each individual is different and unique and requires a unique approach.

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing someone truly progress into feeling better. When they accomplish something they physically could not prior to us working together, that is the best feeling!

What inspired you to start your own business?

So many others and big box gyms just were not getting the results that we were looking for, both personally and as a trainer. So we sat down and discussed what others were getting wrong and how to make it better. We came up with our 5 philosophies that drive us.

Cookie Cutter Programs: All the clubs and trainers try to give you the exact same workout plan or nutrition as everyone else! We are all unique individuals, with individual needs and our programs should reflect that.

Lack of Compassion: In so many professionals we saw they all saw their clients as a number, not an individual person. We focus on getting to know you so you feel comfortable that we are invested and care!

Lack of “extras”: So many in the fitness world do not focus on things outside of the gym. Nutrition gets focused on but nobody seems to acknowledge the importance of sleep, stress relief, or mental well-being. You cannot be healthy if you do not focus on the entire aspect of yourself as a person!

Lack of Flexibility: Not just physically! So many get tied down to one location, one time, no ways around it. We want to make sure that your fitness program fits your life and schedule, not the other way around!

Cost: Exuberant costs at big-box gyms can make fitness and training seem unreachable! We work hard to deliver you the most reasonable price points in the industry, and a variety of options to get the results you need without breaking the bank

Here at 501 Fitness we believe by focusing on and changing these things we may not be able to change the world, but we can change YOUR world.

Why should our clients choose you?

Too many trainers simply sat through a weekend course and do not have the full knowledge to be able to take you through this fitness journey but everyone on our team has to live up to the highest standards of both prior and continuing education in order to deliver the best results.

After spending years trying to get in shape and help others get in shape we sat down and tried to figure out what wasn’t working. We came up with 5 answers that continue to define our philosophy:

Cookie Cutter Programs: All the clubs and trainers try to give you the exact same workout plan or nutrition as everyone else! We are all unique individuals, with individual needs and our programs should reflect that.

Lack of Compassion: In so many professionals we saw they all saw their clients as a number, not an individual person. We focus on getting to know you so you feel comfortable that we are invested and care!

Personal Trainers FAQs

Expand all

It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!

Pretty much anywhere! The great thing about personal training is that it’s flexible - as long as you have the necessary equipment, you and your instructor can decide to have your sessions from the gym, your home, the park, or even your office if you want to!

Yes! First of all, they will chat with you about your goals, and discuss the best way to achieve them. They should also ask you to fill in a consent form to check that you don’t have any pre-existing health conditions that could impact your exercise. They’ll also carry out a health assessment to get a better idea of your current fitness level, tailoring your workout plan around that.

It's tricky to say, as personal training sessions vary significantly depending on what you want to achieve and the type of workout. Generally, one personal training session tends to last forty-five minutes to one hour. It will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by the nitty-gritty of the actual workout, with stretches to end the session. Remember, warming up and stretching is essential for injury prevention - it’s just as important as the main part of the workout!

A personal trainer needs to be clued up on all aspects of fitness, from the most effective exercise techniques to nutrition and human anatomy- that’s a lot of responsibility! You need to make sure your professional is suitably qualified for the job. After all, you shouldn’t cut corners when it comes to investing in your health. Make sure your trainer has the minimum qualifications required to practice. In the UK, this is the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.

Absolutely! Online personal training has become increasingly popular as more people are looking to maintain their fitness during lockdowns and gyms closing. As long as you and your personal trainer have a strong internet connection and a device to stream on like a laptop, tablet or smartphone, there's no reason why your session can't be delivered remotely.
