Finley's Footprints

I am an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience working in mental health services, including working with people with anxiety, depression, ptsd, bpd and most recently 15 years experience working with autistic people. I am also a qualified and experienced teacher and coach. After experiencing a miscarriage, and stillbirth, I trained as a bereavement doula, working in a trauma informed way to help people rebuild their lives after bereavement. I support people after pregnancy and baby loss, and in pregnancy after loss in many ways. I am able to offer Occupational Therapy, and coaching empowering my clients as they rebuild their lives after loss or trauma. I often work in an intuitive way, combining my knowledge, skills and experience to guide through the post loss darkness. 3 Step Process and Sparkles In The Sadness are gentle healing techniques that can relieve anxiety and worry. Virtual doula support and coaching is helpful in pregnancy after loss. In addition, i am skilled and experienced offering OT, coaching and mentoring to Autistic people, which can help with anxiety, depression, isolation, employment. (I am author of Finleys Footprints and have a range of resources available, shown in photos link to buy in my linktree)

What do you love most about your job?

I really love being able to shine a light in the darkness and help people find hope again after loss. I know how it feels, and don't want people to struggle alone. I love using my ability with words, intuition, and training to provide unique and meaningful support that changes lives. I love seeing people improve their lives, live with connection and in the fullest experience while joy and grief coexist.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was already working as an Occupational Therapist at the time I had a miscarriage and stillbirth. The loss of my son Finley changed my life. I wrote a book within 3 months, sharing our journey. I started supporting families straight away, setting up a charity, and re training as a bereavement doula. I wanted other people to have the support that my family didn't recieve.

Why should our clients choose you?

My set of skills, knowledge and experience is relatively unique. Choosing to work with me after pregnancy and babyloss including stillbirth, miscarriage, ectopic prenancy, neonatal death or child loss is a calming, supportive, validating, empowering experience. I have supported hundreds of families before, during and after loss with positive results.

When you are pregnant after a loss, I am able to hold hope for you until through our work you find the light of hope yourself and welcome your rainbow baby.

If you are thinking about working with me around another type of loss, or trauma, you too will benefit greatly from my skills.

If you are autistic and finding it challenging in daily life, employment, business or further and higher education then my 15 years experience working as an OT in an autism team can make a huge difference.
