She helped set me up on a path of a more positive life with me thinking about about certain aspects of life now very differently. I cannot thank her enough as my outlook on life is now feels totally different. I am very much looking forward to continuing the journey she has set me up on.

I was having issues with my partner that almost led to a relationship breakdown. I rung Alva I was desperate for help and he managed to see us the following day. He was very professional and also funny and made us feel at ease. He took his time to listen to our issues and work things through one by one. After the session, we realised how much we needed a third party intervention as it helped us place things into perspective. Things are going great now, we no longer argue we have “honesty time”. I definitely recommend this service! Thank you

I put a post on bark and was contracted by Phil. He took an hour out of his day just to get to know me and made me feel really comfortable. We did 8 sessions and I certainly have come out the other side a stronger, more resilient person. Phil listens and helps, makes you feel comfortable and never rushes you. I would highly recommend links wellness to anyone who is struggling with any aspect of their lives. Thank you Phil!

My names Hannah and I’m a qualified and BACP registered Counsellor . I have over seven years experience of working in a number of settings, with clients who present with a variety of difficulties and concerns. I use an integrative approach to enable me to adapt sessions to suit the needs of individual clients. Sometimes in life we can feel stuck and although we know we want things to change or feel differently it can be difficult to know how or where to start.
I run my own small Counselling Practice which enables me to work flexibly both for myself and my clients. I began working with clients in 2016 whilst in my last year of training. Over the years I have worked with clients who have suffered with anxiety, depression, abuse, bereavement, self worth, and relationship difficulties. Each of us in an individual, so I find ways of working with each client in a way and at a pace that suits them, this I find provides long lasting results .

Everyone come to Deborah's class every Monday. Pregnancy aside, I'm a stone lighter, sleep better and my bad knee is no longer bad! It also inspired me to do my own kundalini practice for conscious pregnancy which enabled me to have a short and relatively painless labour.
Suitable for anyone to do and we focus on raising kundalini energy and working in harmony with our chakras. It's spiritual but not religious and honours our own creative and restorative powers. Lots of lovely kriyas and meditations. We are a very welcoming and friendly class of all abilities and ages. If you're thinking of starting yoga or just want to chill out whilst getting fitter then I highly recommend it!

I was hesitant for a long time already coming from relatively light therapy whilst in university and finding it ineffective and being a man, I felt that pressure of how others would view me taking therapy. The outbreak of the Pandemic exacerbated my anxiety (as I‘m sure it did with many others) – each day felt harder to get through and each night was plagued with restless sleep filled with dread and triggering a response to situations like a frightened child.
2 years ago, over Christmas the weight of this drove me to seek help and Carol answered.
Carol has been my therapist for the past 2 years and in that time, she has helped me understand and listen to myself. As a young man before starting this I was finding myself in a losing battle each day with anxiety from work, social life and personal history.
Carol has spent time with me following each thread I bring to the session and exercises a safe space to explore and delve deeper following an aspect with curiosity each session.
I have always felt heard in these sessions and Carol helps me to make links and see events in a different perspective while also offering observations and teachings – these give me something to think about between sessions and encourage me to spend time with a thought or a feeling and understand where it is coming from.
The lessons learned from these explorations have allowed me to recognise what my body and mind are communicating, how that feeling is stored and how to accept the feeling but not restrict myself to it - instead retooling my thinking to accept new possibilities.
Every session has been outside in large fielded areas, this is the polar opposite of my previous experience seated in a room. Being outside and walking transforms the sessions into feeling like having an informal walk and talk whilst also having privacy.
Deciding to start these sessions with Carol was the best decision I have made to change my lifestyle and putting in the work has paid off – I now feel more comfortable with myself and being me and recognising my body’s communication. I continue the sessions to explore and find out more about myself and continue to find new parts to understand and grow from the experience.
I would highly recommend Carol to anyone who is serious about wanting to change their life and outlook like I am doing, even if you are sat on the fence about it – it’s worth bringing an open mind and trying.

As a motivational speaker, writer, mentor and a qualified coach with The Coaching Academy, I have been privileged to speak and deliver on several platforms over the years on a variety of subjects such as identity, women, motherhood, education, spirituality, self-development, health & wellbeing and empowerment. My experiences of working within the community (spanning over 17 years) with individuals and groups have led me to the conclusion that as women we have so much talent, ability and potential but due to the challenges of daily life we are unable to achieve the right balance to bring us more fulfilment, joy and happiness.

As a busy mum of 4 I wanted some purpose back in my life. I had coaching with Sayyida to get some focus in my overwhelming life. Working with Sayyida has helped me to re-evaluate my life from a greater perspective and has given me the direction and motivation that I needed in my life right now. For those wanting to achieve more in their lives - I would highly recommend coaching with Sayyida. She is extremely proficient in her coaching ability and was able to help me to learn so much about myself and the many limiting beliefs that had been holding me back all of these years. I have now started taking care of my health more and will be starting my own business. This is such an exciting time for me and I couldn’t have achieved this without the encouragement from Sayyida.

I offer face to face and telephone therapy. Quite often we are our own worse critic. Do you take better care of others than you do yourself? Do you feel that people don't really know the "real" you? And if they did see the real you, they wouldn't like you? Do you keep finding yourself in relationships that feel toxic? Do you feel deep down that there is something not quite right?
Sometimes life can get on top of you, and feel more difficult than it should. You may be feeling stuck, unfulfilled, or unable to connect fully with those around you. I will support you to work through these feelings, understanding and accepting where you are right now, and exploring what you might want to do to move forward. I provide a safe, warm and non-judgemental environment where you feel valued and heard; a supportive space where you have the opportunity to talk about your life and experiences, working through things at your own pace. My training is in person-centred counselling and I draw from a range of approaches according to individual need. My background is in social work and mental health, and I have worked extensively with both young people and adults. I have a particular interest in childhood trauma and how this can impact on us as adults. You have the capacity within you to find the answers and my role as your counsellor is to help and support you. Please look at my profile on the BACP website or on Psychology Today and get in touch.
Supporting people to find the best way forward for them.
Recognising that throughout my career as a social worker and mental health worker I had developed many skills that I wanted to formalise by training as a therapist. I currently work part-time as an Immediate Support Counsellor for an employee assistance programme, where I support several clients a day who are struggling with issues ranging from anxiety and depression, drug and alcohol issues, relationship concerns, loneliness, bereavement, and clients who are in extreme distress. The next logical step for me was to develop my private practice in order to support people in a more structured way.
Why choose me? Because I am an empathic and caring person who is there to listen. Because I have several years experience supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing. Because I know, from personal experience and my work with clients, that therapy works, and I want to share that knowledge and experience with you.
I can provide counselling sessions remotely, via Zoom or telephone.
I am currently not seeing clients face-to-face. I will resume face-to-face sessions once government guidelines indicate it is safe to do so.
