I have experienced hypnosis in a group setting - and not the "Las Vegas Entertainment Style" - so I have a firm belief in the power of hypnosis and an idea of how effective it can be. I'd like to say that I was pleasantly surprised by my recent hypnosis experience, but if it were just a "pleasant surprise" I wouldn't be writing this review - shocked and astounded would be a better description. Let me back up a bit. I had tried hypnosis before with someone who claimed to be a qualified hypnotherapist, but I ended up with no lasting benefit ( even so far as to having the person blame me for not experiencing any results ). Needless to say, I approached my upcoming hypnosis session with cautious optimism - especially in regards to the practitioner. I knew things were going to be different after my initial consultation with April Braswell. She took the time to learn about me - what I was experiencing; what I expected and what I could really expect, along with making some suggestions as how to best approach my situation. It was obvious that she was a truly professional hypnotherapist, not only in the way she conducted our interview, but in the way she answered my questions, as well. Though being professional is an important aspect for anyone in business, for me ( the client ) the most important aspect would be a hypnotherapists ability to cause the changes I was seeking - that can only come from experience. This is where she shined. Along with a hypnosis session, she gave me some additional advice for receiving the most benefit from our session. The next day, I won't say I was a different person, however, I felt different and in a very good way - and the change was noticeable to everyone around me. I tend to be very reserved around people I don't know, yet today I was making conversation with strangers -even kidding around with them ( which I don't do unless I am very comfortable someone- usually only around family and very close friends ).

Before I started working with Jamie I had never worked with a life coach before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was stuck in some patterns that weren't serving me both personally and professionally so I figured I'd take whatever help I could get. I've been to traditional talk therapy which served its purpose for certain situations. What I loved about working with Jamie was her positive and empowering results oriented approach. Our conversations weren't focused on rehashing my problems they were more focused on the solution which was refreshing and motivating. We worked together to set some goals with realistic milestones. I've always been fairly decent at setting goals at work but my personal life has been a different story. She asks really good situational questions that brought clarity and motivated me to make some lasting changes.
