Quentin Burns has been my personal trainer for many years. When I first met him I had a lot of health issues, but those have since resolved as I have lost the weight and I'm much stronger now. Quentin makes fitness fun and enjoyable! He is very motivating and creates individualized programs and sessions for every client. No workout is ever the same and he keeps it interesting! Highly recommended!

Kyla is teaching me Hypopressives which is a fitness program that is being used by both men and women of all ages who are seeking to not only restore their pelvic health but to train the true function of their core. Since I began training with her, I am already seeing differences in my body shape and am able to utilize the breathing technique in everyday life and in athletic competition. She is a hands on trainer, and is patient as although the exercise is restorative the subtlety of the movements are difficult to master. Kyla is a great communicator and her analogies and examples are key to my progress and understanding of the movement with breath. The gym itself is clean and bright and street parking is easy to find. I highly recommend working with Kyla, I am lucky to have found her.

I have tried numerous workouts from Krav Maga to regular gyms, DDP Yoga and military style training. Nothing even comes close to Roundbox. I felt energized after the workout instead of depleted. My entire body was involved in the training. I finally have found a holistic approach to working out that works for me. I love it. Thanks Curt. You rock!

I just did Candice’s Fascia Release workshop. Wow! I didn’t expect to get so much out of it. Not only did Candice make us work deep and took the time to give each of us her undivided attention when we needed it, but she also found a way to share a lot of knowledge with us. I will definitely sign up for the follow-up workshop, to focus on other areas of my body. My teenage daughter was with me and she loved it too. She also wants to do the follow-up!

For years Drew and staff have tried to tell me how important the proper diet is in Weightloss, and getting the results I want from working out, but I’m stubborn and have never really tried to change. When I was a younger man 20, & 30’s I could generally workout and still lose weight. Now in my late 40’s I have finally thrown in the towel. A couple months back the gym put out a eating plan, shopping list and a 6 week challenge and I really went for it. I read and followed the instructions which were really not that hard and stayed to a 2 to 3 times a week work out routine & went from 292 to 258 in about 6 weeks. I’m continuing to follow the program and am doing well. With a busy life 6 kids, work, vacation it can be a struggle. But what’s nice is I printed out the whole program and have continued to get back on or start a week again. My family is eating better and I no longer have hardly and aches and pains in my knees and feet .
A big shout out and thank you to the whole staff at Freedom Fitness.

Should I work out every day of the week?
It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!
Where can I have my personal training sessions?
Pretty much anywhere! The great thing about personal training is that it’s flexible - as long as you have the necessary equipment, you and your instructor can decide to have your sessions from the gym, your home, the park, or even your office if you want to!
Does my fitness instructor need to know anything about me?
Yes! First of all, they will chat with you about your goals, and discuss the best way to achieve them. They should also ask you to fill in a consent form to check that you don’t have any pre-existing health conditions that could impact your exercise. They’ll also carry out a health assessment to get a better idea of your current fitness level, tailoring your workout plan around that.
What does a standard personal training session involve?
It's tricky to say, as personal training sessions vary significantly depending on what you want to achieve and the type of workout. Generally, one personal training session tends to last forty-five minutes to one hour. It will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by the nitty-gritty of the actual workout, with stretches to end the session. Remember, warming up and stretching is essential for injury prevention - it’s just as important as the main part of the workout!
What qualifications should a personal trainer have?
A personal trainer needs to be clued up on all aspects of fitness, from the most effective exercise techniques to nutrition and human anatomy- that’s a lot of responsibility! You need to make sure your professional is suitably qualified for the job. After all, you shouldn’t cut corners when it comes to investing in your health. Make sure your trainer has the minimum qualifications required to practice. In the UK, this is the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
Can I get a Personal Trainer online?
Absolutely! Online personal training has become increasingly popular as more people are looking to maintain their fitness during lockdowns and gyms closing. As long as you and your personal trainer have a strong internet connection and a device to stream on like a laptop, tablet or smartphone, there's no reason why your session can't be delivered remotely.
