I am 47 years old and I live out east in Suffolk County on Long Island I am certified from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I am a certified in PERSONAL TRAINING specializing in Strength Gains and Weight Loss. I recently became certified as a Senior Fitness Specialist (over 65+) where i coach on Balance techniques and work on proper movement that will translate to Activities of Daily Living. In addition: CORRECTIVE EXERCISE (past injuries) NUTRITION COACH BEHAVIOR CHANGE I love training all levels of clients. My current client list ranges from 25 years old to 88 years young.. As we get older, its critical to stay active and resistance training can ensure your bones/muscles stay strong.. If you are NEW to fitness--NO PROBLEM. I can tour your gym with you and help you understand what each machine does and how we can incorporate it into your exercise program. For Nutritional advice, I am available to do phone consultations, Facetime as most of my clients prefer this way due to their schedules (but open to whatever works for you) As far as personal training, I can come to you, or you can come to Speonk, NY at one of the gyms I train clients at. I also offer remote training via zoom (and yes...its not as good as in person BUT it works!) In addition--I am excited to offer a NEW APP BASED Training...(download an app on your phone, and Once we do our consult--YOU WILL GET A CUSTOM PROGRAM made just for you and your goals.....They will include videos, and step by step instructions on how to complete workout and best part is YOU DO IT ON YOUR TIME.... The most important part of the process is the Programming--many trainers will put you thru a workout, make you sweat, BUT did they help you closer to your goal? If you want to get tone....resistance training is key! If you want to lose weight.....resistance training is key! If you want to be better in shape.....resistance training is key! How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

The 1st step is to clearly understand the clients goals.
There is not a "one size fits all" strategy to programming workouts for clients.
EVERY CLIENT I have gets a CUSTOM TAILORED program to help them achieve their goals.
I believe the most important part of a personal trainer is the "personal" part.....you have to understand you client first in order to help them. Your inut of the client (what they like, what they dont like is very important to me)

What inspired you to start your own business?

I worked in retail for 25 YEARS leading 3000+ associates and being responsible for over $550m in sales. I was able to impact ALOT of lives. As I became more interested in nutrition/fitness---it changed my life....
It inspired me to retire from retail and do this everyday!

Absolutely!
I currently have clients I train via ZOOM.
Its less expensive than in person training and if you are a beginner, its ideal. You are in the comfort of your home, you need minimal equipment and I have clients use soup cans, water bottles, etc as light weights just to work on form and movement pattern.
If you are uncomfortable with trying it, let me know and we can do a session to see how you like it....
(something is better than nothing! )
MY new APP BASED Training program is GREAT OPTION----you dont have to go on camera and you do it at your pace! :)
