What do you love most about your job?

I am passionate about my work and do my utmost to help those who come to me. After a lifetime of experience it feels good to help people with various stress related problems.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Being young, although I studied Physics at University, I would have liked to become a Doctor. In those days I was too naive and unworldly. Being a doctor was in a way above my then social status. Latin was required but I went to a school where latin was not on the curriculum .Fast forward quite a few years ,
a full life and knowing quite a few young young doctors ,I realized that if I was young again, in the modern world I would study to be a doctor. Well it's a bit too late for that. Having had helpful Hypnotherapy treatment during my life and being a pragmatic person I decided to become a hypnotherapist.

I have a wide range of interests and a well-rounded experience of life, having worked as a teacher, a physicist, and in various capacities in the business world. My broad life experience has contributed to my personal qualities which I would characterise as understanding, sensitive, and empathetic yet realistic. The duration of therapy will really be dependent on your circumstances and issues. Some people may require a longer-term approach with regular weekly sessions. Your hypnotherapist will let you know how many sessions they feel you might need when you start therapy and will be flexible when it comes to decreasing or extending the number of sessions according to your progress and needs.

There are currently no guidelines in place stipulating the training and qualifications a hypnotherapist must have in order to practice. Industry guidelines recommend that individuals should have completed at least an appropriate diploma or have completed a course that involved a minimum of 450 learning hours, of which 120 hours must have been face-to-face.
