This place is awesome. I just started working out and felt super-low energy after workouts. I came in just to check out whey protein. He laid out some options, and didn't try to hustle the more expensive stuff. I like that he recommended some cheap generic alternatives I could pick up at London Drugs to some of his high end products. The customer service is some of the best I've ever had. I can't say enough good things about someone who knows their products and isn't doing the hard sell.

It's good. It's better than NAC for powerlifting equipment. Only place in town with a platform. One of if not the only gym in nanaimo that allows chalk. Pool and sauna are nice, as well as the big changing room. I've been pretty jacked up in there and it's a good environment to be in. Members are usually supportive as opposed to complaint happy as I'm used to.There is a lack of variety when it comes to things such as bench presses or squat racks. But that is to be expected of a commercial gym. Sometimes I resort to doing dumbbell work or holding squats off later on in the workout. Staff is friendly, the prices are decent. I've been going for the last year or so (since I've moved back) and it's probably the best option for a clean, maintained, member oriented gym that isn't packed to the brim.
