• Athletic Training -
We approach athletic training with three goals in mind. The best ability for an athlete is availability and we want to ensure the athlete has as opportunity to develop and express their talent as much as possible. Our intake process includes a thorough interview and movement screen to identify weak links and sources of potential injury. Goal number one is to minimize the potential for injury. Next we want to help the athlete to excel in their sport. This may include increasing mobility, flexibility, core stability, strength, power, speed, energy system development, recovery strategies and more. Lastly, athletes play to win but not everyone can hoist the trophy overhead. With that in mind we look instill healthy habits that will allow the athlete to play their sport as long as they choose with optimal health.
• Personal Training
Maybe you don’t make your living as an athlete. And you’re not currently injured. But you’d still like to look and feel your best. And whether it be improving your handicap at the county club, charging down black diamonds at the local ski hill or playing in the annual company slow-pitch tournament you want to have fun and be injury free. Our personal training is built around your goals and includes all factors from resistance training, mobility, power, fitness, core stability and is supported by the best nutritional and recovery strategies. We help our clients achieve a better goal in less time.
• Rehabilitation Training
One of the main factors determining the extent and efficiency of recovery from injury is what was done prior to surgery. For those going in for an orthopedic procedure we help them prepare to increase their physical capacity beforehand to shorten the recovery. And if surgery is not required there may a gap from rehabilitation prior to returning to full activity. We work with rehab professionals to bridge the gap from injury to return to play.
• Online Training
There is a quote that goes something along the lines that a goal without a plan is just a wish. And there is also the one about not planning and failure. If your goal is serious enough, than it’s not a wish. And nobody starts something with the plan to fail. Many people don’t know how to safely and effectively design a training program. For those that don’t live in the Kelowna, or who aren’t able to access our facility, we offer online coaching. Our programming is delivered via our training app and can be accessed wherever there is wifi. Or simply print the program, delivered daily to your inbox. Support is available through the app, by text, email and phone.
