I worked with Fit 'N' Well at the Epcor tower for 9 months (October 2013 to June 2014) to improve my core strength and alleviate back and knee pain. I'm a senior and wanted someone knowledgeable in fitness kinetics principles who could help me establish an exercise regimen that I could continue to do on my own. I worked initially with Erin and then with Chris. Both trainers were very aware of my senior mobility limitations and they adapted stretches and exercises to meet my specific needs and goals.I can now walk and climb stairs essentially pain free, play with my grandchildren, and even shovel snow! We have worked with a lot of rodeo athletes in the past but primarily work now with downtown professionals.
I would recommend this club to anyone interested in squash. One of the best squash clubs in the city. 4 good quality courts that are well-maintained. Steam room & hot tub in the exec change room. The club feels like home and is really a place where you can go and unwind. The gym is good too. Not the biggest gym in the world, but it's full of athletes, not meat heads which is a huge appeal to me. Good range of equipment and good fitness staff.
I've been a client of Heather's for over 2 years. She's amazing! She really listens to any concerns or questions I ever have relating to nutrition and is happy to set me on a healthy, clean path again. I love that the focus is not calorie counting or dieting, it's on healthy living - as in, a lifestyle, not a temporary fix. Can't recommend highly enough.

Any time I have worked out with Matt it has been very informative, motivating and exhausting. Matt knows his stuff, is very good at coaching and helping achieve your fitness goals. Matt loves what he does and it shows.
Classes really work you hard and they have their own dedicated training space with platforms unlike most trainers and classes at Evolve where you have to fight for space with the other users. Their app is easy to use to see and book classes , and Ryan is just so damn pretty to look at too !!

I like this gym. Been going for almost 3 weeks and the staff is very friendly, the place is clean and stress free. The only thing I wish could be included is more evening classes as I normally get off work by 6pm and their last class is at 6:40 at the latest.
I’ve been training at Alavanca for two months now once or twice a week whenever work allows me to and I love it!Tim and his team definitely know how to create a great community for martial arts and are amazing at giving BJJ classes. Process is so smooth and the facility is just so nice, modern, all white and clean. They have shower and everything you need. Since I’ve been practicing BJJ, even if I’m still a beginner, I’ve gained so much confidence, balance and strength. First class is free so you guys go try and enjoy!
10/10 would recommend FREE Fit! Training with Ty Khan has given me the confidence & motivation to finally step into a gym & be accountable for my health. As someone who had not worked out before, he has helped me rehab injuries & joint issues I have incurred over the years, as well as created a program for strength & conditioning. The outreach FREE does for the community is also phenomenal which makes you feel a part of something bigger. I would highly recommend FREE!
This place has people and athletes who care, I have never seen such a supportive and motivating gym and people in my life, I was at another gym and switched to come give this a try ! I was hooked the moment I walk in, David comes up with most of the works outs, and it’s so in tune with what the top notch athletes are doing that we were so prepared when fun things come around like the crossfit open, so we weren’t too surprised and very prepared! This studio has some of the best instructors I’ve ever had for fitness (shout-out to sandy and Kristen). The positivity and high energy attitude plus the ever changing workouts has made me look forward to every workout here. And the best part is that you can get a full body workout that leaves you energized in less than an hour!
The trainers at f45 are amazing! From the first day of my trial week I felt so welcomed into the gym by Marty, Sherry, Kari, and the rest of the team. I used to prefer working out on my own, but I'm converted to group fitness classes because of f45: the workouts are so efficient, and the many different exercises continually challenge your body...there's no way I could be that creative or time-efficient on my own.
Urban Athlete is a great place to workout! The staff are really helpful, and friendly. I had an hour session with Warren, he is very knowledgeable and a great personal trainer, I would highly recommend booking with him!
I recently took the AFCLA Certification at Heavens Fitness and had the pleasure to be instructed by three different Heaven facilitators, they were all very knowledgeable, professional and welcoming! They provided such great feedback too, after the 3 day course I finished feeling very motivated and inspired. I would defiantly recommend taking any of your fitness courses here and I will defiantly be continuing to take further courses through Heavens Fitness! Thank you!
How lucky are we to have this amazing gym in our neighbourhood! Do yourself a favour and see Big Dave for training and nutrition advice. He gets results quickly, and is extremely patient and encouraging.
I'm so happy I started coming here a few years ago! I had no idea how to workout or what excercises to do or what moves were effecting what muscles, I was completely new to fitness. But now I can confidently workout at home or the gym and build my own workouts around what these ladies have taught me! I love going to the classes and learning new moves and having fun while I workout and really being pushed to get the most out of my workout!
I feel very lucky to have found this school. Everyone from the students, to the Masters and the Grandmaster really want to see you succeed. If you are considering studying the art of Kung Fu, I highly recommend at least picking up the phone and learning more.
The amount of improvement I have seen in only 5 sessions has been phenominal. The attention to detail and the thought put into each training session is what makes all the difference. These guys aren't interested in just making you sweat and tired for no reason, they care about developing your skill and technique. However, don't be mistaken..this is an amazing workout as well!
It hurts. But it’s a good hurt! I’m loving all the fun things we are doing...the Bucking Bronco Burpees and the workout to ‘Ghostbusters’ are fun enough to keep me from grumbling too much about the pain the next day � So glad I talked to you at the Chappelle Gardens open house and signed up for the class!

You will learn the fundamentals of boxing, get a killer work out and most important have fun while you are doing it! No matter what kind of mood I am in, I always leave Ted's classes feeling on top of the world.
I just finished their 6 week challenge and it was an awesome learning experience for me. They provided nutrition guidelines, recipes, and weight classes for the challenge. I stuck to the program (no cheating) and hit the goals I had set for myself. The classes are fun and challenging and the trainers really encourage you to do your best in order to meet your goals. Overall great gym and fantastic people!

Friendly (very) staff, very clean gym, a large variety of equipment ( classic and new apparatus)I have an excellent trainer and I am enjoying a very positive experience.The locker room (like the gym) is large, very clean and well stockedI have not yet tried any of the classes, but I know my brother never misses his Spin Class!!!West mount/ Glenora ( 142 st and 107 Ave) also has the added bonus of a nice large open parking lot with plenty of parking. After a major leg surgery I didn’t think I’d ever enjoy intense physical activity again. I had several sessions with a popular ‘chain’ physiotherapist and got almost no improvement. Thankfully I found Jamie, and with her techniques (treat the source not the symptom!) I’m back enjoying everything I did before my surgery. Wouldn’t have been possible without Jamie!
Melissa is amazing!! I never thought I would ever enjoy working out but she made training with her fun and yet challenging enough that I was never bored. I learned something new every session! I always looked forward to going to my sessions with her. She also created a diet plan for me that was actually practical and achievable. It was personalized to me so I could eat the things I enjoyed but she also taught me how to eat healthier in general. It was so nice to see results with my weight loss but it was even better to see how far I came from start to finish in regards to feeling healthier and stronger. Overall, my experience with Melissa was great!
Boutique personal training in Kensington. Coach and owner Brian is a highly decorated power lifter and brings a lot of experience to the industry. When I trained at Ki fitness, my personal records made substantial jumps in a very short time and it was injury and pain free.
Looking for the absolute best training place in Edmonton? Then go to Full Force Fitness, no doubt at all. This place is huge, you can train at your own pace and always find a spot for that. Just check out all of its services as it would take too long to describe them. And maybe some additional calisthenics facilities could be in the offing...

Receiving training from Tessa has been an A+ 10 out of 10 fabulous experience. Not only are the sessions fun and motivating but they were definitely the catalyst in me receiving my results. Since training with Tessa I have lost 15 pounds. This was over a span of two months. Training with Tessa is challenging while involving achievable goals. She formulates the program so you can continue with it throughout your week when you’re not one on one with her. This transferrable form of training is what I believe allowed me to get my results and continuously sustain my physical activity. I don’t see myself ending my training with Tessa anytime soon. She keeps everything creative and interesting. Even on the tough days you still want to be there to work hard for your results. ���
