Bark communication often goes to spam or junk folders so if you dont hear back from your inquiry, feel free to contact HollyRalph.ca directly through the wbesite! Holly Ralph has been planning and coordinating events for over a decade and finds great joy in helping others create or bring their vision to life. “I love the analogy of the Duck: Picture the graceful and elegant duck, floating effortlessly on the water: this represents the forward-facing event experience for yourself and your guests. Now imagine the ducks feet hidden under the water, quietly paddling like mad to keep moving in the right direction: that’s me, calm and focused on every detail to ensure your event is a complete success!” Holly's experience comes from large scale charity galas, weddings, and corporate events, which require great attention to detail and a strong ability to “go-with-the-flow” on event day. When events are planned well, unforeseen circumstances are few and manageable in a seamless and undetectable manner. With experience comes knowledge of do’s & don’ts, tips & tricks, and a flurry of creative ideas to help design or embellish an exceptional event.
I love helping people and I love the opportunity to be creative. Supporting clients as they plan milestone events, organizing charity galas that have an impact on our community, helping a company celebrate a success or thank their team - this works brings both my clients and myself great joy, and I am so grateful to say that it puts me in the category of "if love your job, it doesn't feel like work".
I love the opportunity to be creative in any way: finding creative solutions to budget limitations, producing unique, hand-made embellishments that tie into a theme, whatever we can dream-up I love the opportunity to make it happen. Working for larger companies sometimes hinders creative possibilities, so I branched out on my own!

I'm happy to offer advice, tips & tricks, and some guidance remotely, but the majority of my services are in-person and hands-on coordination!
Throughout the pandemic, clients meetings and planning session moved to a remote platform, and we came up with new ways to celebrate milestones virtually. Now that we are back to a new normal, there are still precautions in place to keep germs at bay, but allow for a more intimate and connected celebration that we have been missing for the past two years.

They did a great job coordinating our wedding day and making sure vendors were there and everything was set up properly. Even when a vendor made a mistake they were able to get it corrected quickly. They even stayed longer than contracted to make sure everything went smoothly.

Had to plan my company’s meet and greet event and didn’t know where to find on so I did a search for catering company within my area and found “JM Event Consulting” after doing my reviews and speaking with Ms. Joan David and how quick she provided me with all that it required to set up an event for over 50 attendees, I was extremely pleased. On the event day I was pleasantly surprised at their set up, food, its display and the taste I would highly recommend JM Event Consulting to any company party events.

What does a Wedding Planner do?
First and foremost, a wedding planner is responsible for the planning and the logistics of your wedding. This includes finding and securing a venue, which is an important first step as all of your suppliers will be asking where and when the wedding is. A wedding planner will also source said suppliers for things such as the catering, entertainment, and the flowers. They are also responsible for the scheduling of the day, to ensure there is enough time allotted for each element of your ceremony and reception. All in all, a wedding planner is there to make sure the day runs smoothly and that your vision comes to life.
How much does a Wedding Planner cost?
The cost of a wedding planner will depend on several factors. For example, the size of the wedding and the location.
What to look for in a Wedding Planner
A wedding planner should be highly organised, especially when they are in charge of the timings, managing the budget, and the logistics of the whole day. Aside from this though, they should be someone who is a great listener. They should be highly experienced in wedding planning, and be able to problem-solve. Most of all, they should possess the ability to put you at ease, especially as their job is to take away the stress for you.
Different types of Wedding Planners
Not all weddings are created equal! Depending on what you had in mind for your big day, you should opt for a wedding planner who specialises in the level of help you need.
How to check your Wedding Planner’s credentials
There are no qualifications that a wedding planner has to have to be able to operate. It’s something that anyone can do. So, the best way to check if they are the right fit for you is to have a consultation with them. Be sure to do your research, check their reviews, and have a look at the weddings they have planned previously to get an idea of what they could achieve for you.
How to plan a wedding
While your wedding planner will be taking care of the finer details for you, it’s still a good idea to think about the kind of day you want.
For example, the size of the wedding, colour schemes, what type of flowers, and the overall theme. There are a lot of decisions to be made so it can be helpful to talk with your partner beforehand about what you both envision. That way you can be on the same page with your wedding planner right from the start.
Also, be sure to inform your wedding guests of the date of the wedding at the earliest opportunity, so that they have time to arrange transport or book the time off work.
Do Wedding Planners save you money?
Wedding planners are there to help you organise your big day, and so compared to making impulse purchases because you’re stressed or simply don’t know what you want - absolutely!
It’s also possible to find a wedding planner that specialises in budget-friendly weddings too.
Remember, while they are doing all of the planning, it is still you who is in control. Your wedding planner will work with you to create a budget and present the costs to you before they go ahead and book. If the budget is the absolute priority for you, then you should stress this from the start.
Are Wedding Planners worth it?
Yes! After all, you only get one wedding day and so it needs to feel like a special occasion for both of you. Plus for all your family and friends who will be attending too. Given most people are new to planning a wedding, having a professional take care of everything for you can result in a day that far exceeds what you could have achieved alone.
Even if you already have an exact vision in mind, bringing that to life can be tricky, especially if you lack time or expertise in planning and logistics. Having a consultation with a wedding planner will shed more light on what they can create for you, which will help you get a clearer picture as to whether a wedding planner is right for you.
Can Wedding Planners help with the dress?
Choosing a wedding dress is one of the biggest decisions for the whole day. Understandably with so much choice out there, it can be tricky to find a dress that ticks all the right boxes. While the ultimate decision is up to you, a wedding planner can help you source the best bridal boutiques and arrange a fitting for you. They can also help source outfits for the groom as well as bridesmaids dresses.
Can I get a Wedding Planner online?
Absolutely! From choosing your dream venue to finding the perfect musician to play while you walk down the aisle, there's nothing stopping your wedding planner from planning your big day from afar.
