Hola! My name is Sarah Karina! I am a family portrait photography and videographer. Specializing in family portraits, baby photography, maternity photography and couples. I also dabble in event photography / videography for events such as proposals, birthday parties, gender reveals and weddings! I have 4 years of experience and also have a portfolio with product shoots for small businesses. Lastly but most importantly, I am a wife and mother of twins! So I know first hand the hussle and bussle of juggling life with a family! If anyone has patience and can relate to the crazy of trying to hold your kids still for a picture, its ME! My passion for what I do is fueled by my twins and my family. I love being able to capture people and relationships in their true essence. I love that I can capture the moment and freeze it in time. I grew up with "quality time" as the biggest priority within my culture and within my home. My family really stressed the importance of getting together to create memories even if we couldn't financially afford it. Everyone would chip in, or bring a sleeping bag and we would all just love being together. I love that my passion allows me to capture the unity, the relationship, the milestones frozen in time. Because at the end of it all, life is so short, and all we're left with is pictures that tell a story for eternity.
I always loved taking pictures, with my phone, with a little cannon digital camera. I was the kid at every function snapping away. Once I had my twins, I spent every moment taking their pictures all day while I was on matt leave. I decided to pick up a DSLR camera and decided to record/put together videos of them, so that I could again FREEZE time because they were growing so fast. I found a passion for videography and captured a lot of beautiful moments for others. I captured proposals, birthday parties, gender reveals. I than dove into photography and found my niche! I guess my kids were the ones that really opened the door for me to find art and love for what I do!
I think people should choose me, for what I value out of taking the niche based pictures that I take. I value togetherness, connection, love, bonding, milestones, the stages our babies go through that only come once. I value unity, affection and quality time. I don't just want to snap a picture and display people in a pose. I want to showcase their personality, the connection and inside jokes amongst siblings. The admiration two individuals have when they look into each others eyes. I strive for people's photos to come ALIVE and that they feel something inside from looking at my photos.
I am a photographer so that the moment I am working remotely. However, I have a new born studio under construction and will be offering services at my own home based studio in due time!
