Holly was a delight to work with as a day of coordinator before and throughout our wedding. She took the time to walk through the venue with us when finalizing our plan for the event and offered advice when we were unsure about some logistics, and at our rehearsal she went through a lot of details that we wouldn’t have even thought to consider. On the day she was attentive and available for any tasks you might expect from a coordinator, like setting up decor and keeping an eye on time, but it was her commitment to lending a hand for problems we couldn’t have anticipated that really stood out. For example, she had pins we forgot to bring for our DIY florals, she had umbrellas at the ready when the sky threatened rain, she had suggestions for how best to time entrances and musical cues (which she handled beautifully as our de facto DJ using a party speaker and Spotify playlists), she even saved me from a wasp that got caught in the layers of tulle of my skirt. None of our requests threw her off, and she remained positive throughout all our interactions. Holly took such great care of us that at the end of the night we were left with only a handful of items to clean up from the space where the last guests had gathered, since she had taken the time to clean up and put away everything else from the rest of our venue. From keeping me on top of managing my guest list to helping coordinate a change of officiant when our first choice cancelled unexpectedly, she kept me on task with warmth and enthusiasm. If that wasn’t enough, she found and prepared the decorations, made my beautiful invitations, and did most of it while I was in Nova Scotia and the wedding taking place in Ottawa. The day of the wedding, I couldn’t have asked for a better person to run the event. Holly made sure everyone and everything was where they needed to be at the right time. What do you love most about your job?
I love helping people and I love the opportunity to be creative. Supporting clients as they plan milestone events, organizing charity galas that have an impact on our community, helping a company celebrate a success or thank their team - this works brings both my clients and myself great joy, and I am so grateful to say that it puts me in the category of "if love your job, it doesn't feel like work".
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love the opportunity to be creative in any way: finding creative solutions to budget limitations, producing unique, hand-made embellishments that tie into a theme, whatever we can dream-up I love the opportunity to make it happen. Working for larger companies sometimes hinders creative possibilities, so I branched out on my own!

I love the analogy of the Duck:
Picture the graceful and elegant duck, floating effortlessly on the water: this represents the forward-facing event experience for yourself and your guests. Now imagine the ducks feet hidden under the water, quietly paddling like mad to keep moving in the right direction: that’s me, calm and focused on every detail to ensure your event is a complete success!
My experience comes from large scale charity galas, weddings, and corporate events, which require great attention to detail and a strong ability to “go-with-the-flow” on event day. When events are planned well, unforeseen circumstances are few and manageable in a seamless and undetectable manner. With experience comes knowledge of do’s & don’ts, tips & tricks, and a flurry of creative ideas to help design or embellish an exceptional event.

I'm happy to offer advice, tips & tricks, and some guidance remotely, but the majority of my services are in-person and hands-on coordination!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Throughout the pandemic, clients meetings and planning session moved to a remote platform, and we came up with new ways to celebrate milestones virtually. Now that we are back to a new normal, there are still precautions in place to keep germs at bay, but allow for a more intimate and connected celebration that we have been missing for the past two years.
Event Planning
Whatever your budget, your event can be fabulous. Holly will work with you from the very beginning to find the aesthetic that fits your event and assist with every detail along the way. Or she can assist specifically with day-of’ coordination, and offer help and advice where needed. Together you will take the steps to make your event a seamless success!

Organization
Timeline-tracking, list-making, and knolling (the process of arranging objects so they are parallel or at 90-degree angles) are key tricks to this trade. In addition to event planning, I’m happy to offer organizational skills for whatever home or office projects where you might need a hand. Costs for these services are offered on a case-by-case basis, and contracts can be drawn up specifically to fit your needs.
