How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

There is an old Ayurvedic saying, 'If diet is not good, medicine will do no good; If diet is good, there is no need for medicine'. And, you have no doubt heard that 'food can be medicine or it can be poison'. Before any medicine can help in the process of detox, drainage or healing, diet has to be healthy so that the person can let go, absorb, and process the healing response. Just to be clear: a healthy diet is the first medicine to improve or maintain your health and wellbeing.

What do you love most about your job?

I love it when people tell me how good they feel after a period of time of not feeling good. I love it when people tell me they don't feel like they have arthritis, or migraines, or aches and pains anymore. I love it when the seemingly impossible becomes possible.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was inspired to become a Homeopath because I experienced being a patient and I was inspired to become a nutritional planning coach because I experienced the amazing consequences of doing the nutritional planning myself.

Why should our clients choose you?

Bark clients can expect extraordinary care. My view on health care is that it is a partnership: You help me help you. Together we go through your medical history, your desires and your goals, to come up with a plan of action to address your needs and help you achieve a state of balance in a safe, effective way without side effects.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Services can be provided in person or online. Online consultations are conducted via Zoom video conferencing in compliance with Canadian Data Protection regulations, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, locally, the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Medicine for current patients can be purchased from the dispensary and picked up or mailed to your destination.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Since the advent of Covid-19 the office is paperless and consultations are conducted on Zoom video conferencing. This change in procedure ensures that there is no exposure to the virus as there is no need to come in to my office. Medicine can be left outside in the mail basket at the time of pick up, or mailed to you. Now that the World Health Organization has declared Covid-19 no longer a threat I welcome those that would like to come into my office for consultations. I also honour those that prefer to do video consultations instead.
