What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

This is going to sound extremely cliche, but there is no secret. It’s hard work, it’s dedication, it’s fighting the urge to fall into bad habits, it’s listening to your body and understanding the necessity of doing what’s right for it.

What do you love most about your job?

I love watching people change both physically and mentally. I love watching that “aha” moment when things click, when something that they learned before starts to come naturally and they realize that they’ve improved. And honestly I love being surprised by progress pictures and the videos clients send me of them squatting or deadlifting or doing someone on their own that they never thought they would. It’s an amazing feeling.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I worked in the commercial gym setting for about 2 years, and my second year in I promised myself that I would be private within the next 12 months. I searched to find a studio that would allow me the freedoms a commercial setting did not- the ability to be entirely honest and personable, the ability to laugh and dance and become friends but push HARD when needed, and the ability to look at clients like people, and not just a dollar sign.

I’m the best. There will always be someone who has been certified longer, someone with more clients, or maybe someone with a bigger space. But there’s no one that loves their clients and their career and this thing called fitness more than I do. I do this job with love and with a heart that’s happy to come to work every day.
