What do you love most about your job?

I feel passionate about being able to support clients achieve transformational change. Providing tools and techniques to help clients release underlying negative core beliefs and unconscious programs; to become the best version of themselves. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients who identify that they are ready to release their emotional barriers and blocks in order to move forward in their pursuit of a healthier and happier life.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Necessity really. Whilst working in my trained field, working at Australia’s leading addiction treatment hospital, clients identified the need to release deeper underlying negative beliefs and emotions that were unconsciously driving their negative behaviours and addictions. Working with clients who experienced heightened levels of anxiety inspired me to research and train in neuroscience based therapies to support their recovery. I was inspired to start my own practice that specialises in emotional freedom and transformational change in order to work with clients who had addictions and a broader range of people in the community who are also seeking support for anxiety, stress, worry, insomnia, cravings, fears, anger, trauma and phobias.

Why should our clients choose you?

I work to develop a relationship based on trust and respect. I tailor therapy around the clients specific needs with focus on being able to achieve measurable outcomes. I work holistically, integrating the mind, body and spirit connection in order to obtain the best results. I place my client at the centre of their therapeutic experience; working collaboratively to achieve identified goals.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes I provide services online, via Zoom and FaceTime, throughout Australia and overseas.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Working remotely provides clients with flexibility, safety and continuity. Clients continue to report ongoing satisfaction with outcomes achieved working online.

Therapist FAQs

This will vary according to the level of experience and training that the therapist holds.

This will depend on where you live, what level of training your therapist has and what they specialise in (whether they are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist) and also how many years of working experience they have.

Your professional therapist will be able to advise you on the full range of therapies available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted therapist today.

You need to devote some time to finding the right therapist as the connection you have with your therapist is essential. You need someone who you can trust, someone you feel comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, someone who will be a partner in your recovery. Therapy will not be effective unless you have this bond, so take some time in the beginning to find the right person.

It is worth talking to a few potential therapists and asking questions. Therapists also have special areas of focus, such as depression or eating disorders. For some issues, such as trauma or PTSD, seeing a specialist is absolutely essential.

Everyone’s treatment is different. How long your therapy lasts depends on many factors.

You may be offered a single session of counselling, a short course of sessions over a few weeks or months or a longer course that lasts for several months or years.

It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support of your trusted Bark therapist.

Professional counsellor training takes three to five years and can be a diploma or degree level. Qualification requires a minimum number of client hours acquired through a work placement.

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark and Bark can show you reviews from past customers who have used their therapy.

Therapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with a whole host of issues. It can help with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Or it can help with an upsetting physical health condition such as infertility, a difficult life event such as a bereavement or a relationship breakdown. It can also be used to tackle difficult emotions such as low self-esteem, anger or sexual identity issues. Therapists also offer couples therapy. Therapists can also help with anxiety issues deriving from the coronavirus.

Absolutely! Many therapists offer sessions over the phone or through an online video chat platform, so you can have a session from the comfort of your own home - all you need is a strong internet connection and you're good to go.
